A Recycled/Re-used Card

A “recycled” card for today – something I’ve never done before. I received this pretty thank you card from a friend. Well, it didn’t look quite like this when I got it. It was a one-layer printed card.

I cut the center “Thank You” out of the card with a Long Rectangle Nestability and then embossed it. I cut a mat from Riding Hood Red to mat it on. I used my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the background, then matted it on Riding Hood Red, also. I put the sentiment back in the middle of the card and added some pearls.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you’ll come back and visit again soon!

Lynette, this is so cool!! The flowers were already on the original card?
My best friend and I have been "recycling" the same hand made birthday card for about 9 yrs now.....the challenge is always to make at least one change before returning it to the other person on their birthday. We should have taken pictures......the card looks nothing like the original after these 9 yrs.
I love your cards, every one of them!!

What a great way to recycle the card. The changes you made really make it so attractive.

Very clever! I never through away cards and this is a great way to keep them "alive" and not sitting in the corner of a closet. Once again, you inspire me!
