Anniversary Birds and Flowers

I'm still not exactly sure if I really like this card, or don't like it very much at all!

I got a set of two new Sizzix embossing folders.  I was excited to use them, until I realized (after I opened them, of course) that they are A6 size.  That would be fine if they were just background folders, but they both have frames and they are just too big for a "standard" size card.  So, this card is 6 x 4.5 inches.  I had to use some 12 x 12 paper that I have.  The base is textured blue.  I used the folder to emboss some textured white cardstock that I had.  I sponged ink on to the birds, leaves, borders, and dots.  The flowers are from the wedding section at Michael's.  I sponged blue ink on them, too, and added pearls.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

I think the card is lovely! But I understand how you feel about the size. What is the other embossing folder? Did they come together? I am really hooked on embossing.!

I really like the card. Too bad they made the folder that size though. The embossing almost looks like you used embossing paste. :)

Very pretty card!! I'm not sure if I have this EF or not. But, I do like that companies are finally making larger EFs. I'm one of those people who enjoys making larger cards than the A2 size most of the time and would love to see more and more of the larger EFs.

The embossing folder is very pretty. Sorry to hear that it was larger then you expected it to be. Your card is gorgeous Lynette. Honestly, you make the prettiest anniversary cards.
