Repeat Impressions Sneak Peek Blog Hop ~ Snow Globes & Ornaments

It’s time for another Repeat Impressions Blog Hop!  It was so much fun last week, we’re doing it again. :) First, though, head over to the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built, to find the link to the new penguin stamps we “sneak-peeked” last week and to find out who last week’s winner was!  You will also find the details about this week’s blog hop.

Once again, each RI Rock Star will feature a Key Word.  My KEY WORD is “FOR.”  Collect all ten key words and put them together to form a phrase.  Email the phrase to Wendy (Wendy@repeatimpressions.com) by 10 p.m. Eastern time on Sunday, August 22.  The winner of this blog hop will win … an unmounted sheet of the new Snow Globes and Ornaments series, of course!

Here are the links to the other RI Design Team members' blogs:
To double your chances for this great prize, leave a comment on each Rock Star’s blog and also the Repeat Impressions blog.  This needs to be done no later than 10 p.m. on Sunday, August 22, also.  The new stamps will be available on Monday, August 23, and the winner of this week’s blog hop will be announced then.

Again, my Key Word is FOR.

I haven’t had a lot of time for stamping yet, but I did manage to get two cards made using the new stamps.  For my first one, I stamped the Snow Globe image on white cardstock, and then again on a piece of brown cardstock.  I stamped the snowflakes with Versamark on vellum and embossed with Detail Gold embossing powder.  After embossing, I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig and stamped the circle around it.  I cut out the snowflakes circle from the vellum and the snow globe base from the brown and adhered them to the white cardstock.  I embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder, too.  I matted the image and sentiment panel on the same brown cardstock, and then mounted it on kraft card base.
For this second card, I went with silver.  The card base is white and the second layer is shimmery silver.  I stamped snowflakes with Versamark and embossed them with Detail Silver embossing powder.  I stamped the snowflake again on white and embossed with silver.  I cut out around it, mounted it on a silver circle, and then on a scalloped white circle.  I added silver dots around the edge.  The sentiment (from the same sheet of stamps) is also silver and mounted on silver and white.  I added silver dots in the corners and mounted the sentiment on Pop Dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

I would never guess you haven't had time to stamp. Both of these cards have such an elegant look to them. I love the embossing in the snowglobe and the tone on tone effect of the silver. Beautful!
