Brilliant Blue Birthday

Brilliant Blue - that is the name of the blue cardstock.  I had never really cared for it, but it matched the bird, and I found out I actually liked it paired with this light green!

The embossed piece came from my "card parts" box.  I had tested the folder (which is by Sizzix) and had sponged the ink on it.  I thought it would work fine for a card.  I matted it with New Leaf from Papertrey Ink.  I embossed the blue with a Swiss Dots folder from Cuttlebug, and I matted that with New Leaf, also.  The sentiment is from Stampendous and is stamped in Brilliant Blue.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

oh that is so pretty. I do love the brilliant blue. My very favorite color of all time is sapphire blue and this is very close.

Hello Lynette

Sorry I've not been commenting on your blog, but life has been rather hectic of late.
I have been looking over your recent cards and they are so beautiful and elegant, stunning and gorgeous, this one especially. I love the colours and the sizzix embossing folder.

That is a great way to use that Sizzix embossing folder! I love that blue and the swiss dots is perfect to provide the texture!

Oooh Lynette, I LOVE this! It's just gorgeous! The subtle colours of the bird panel and the beautiful embossing are so well set off by that fabulous intense rich blue, and I love that you've embossed that too. This could not be improved in any way! It's fabulous.

Hop over to my blog and see what I've been up to recently! Finally got going again today after a poorly patch and I'm really excited! Can't wait to do some more now!

Gorgeous, Lynette! Wow! You always amaze me with your designs. Oh, to have such an eye for CAS. You know, the blue I have never cozied up to is Ballet Blue. Funny how we all have those colors...
