Sorry this is late - I forgot to do a pre-post for today! I made this card for the SCS Clean and Simple Challenge on Monday. The challenge was to use sponging.
The stamp set I used is from Verve. I got it last year right after Christmas, and realized I hadn't used it yet and my Christmas cards are almost done! So, you'll be seeing it on a few cards soon. I started by inking the little piece of pine bough with Versamagic Spanish Olive ink and coloring the branches with a Close to Cocoa marker. Next I stamped the ornament with Versamagic Aegean Blue. Then I drew the string with a silver gel pen. I tore the bottom edge and sponged all the edges with Spanish Olive. I matted with (I think) Bordering Blue which I embossed with a Cuttlebug Snowflake folder and I mounted that layer on Dimensionals. I scored lines around the edge with my Scor-Pal and sponged the edges of the card base, also. It was a little too plain, so I added some sparkle on the sentiment and snowflakes with a glitter pen. I wish you could see that:)
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Very pretty card!! I love the snowflake ornament. For some reason this year I've been "into" ornaments... whether stamped or die cut.
This is lovely, Lynette! I wish I could use embossed panels like you. (and white...) :)
What a beautiful Chrsitmas Card Lynette. I love the stamps that youused and of course Ilove the scroing thatyou did and your use of the Embossing folder that goes greta with the image that you used. I can see the sparkle on your card very well. All I had to do was double click on your photo of the card and there it was. :)
