Father's Day

Here is the Father's Day card I made for my husband. (No Christmas card today - didn't get any made this week.) The inside says, "Recliner, Remote, TV tray...there's a 'nap' for that."

I stamped this while I was in Des Moines. Thanks, Andrea! I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and Goo Gone. I had stamped it at a bad angle, so I had to cut him out. I mounted him on foam squares. I put him on ovals cut with Nestabilities. The background was embossed with a Sizzix folder. I sponged some navy ink on both white layers.

Edited to add: The stamps are by Art Impressions. Their website is here.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Lynette, I love this card! When my hubby isn't on the road this is his favorite activity! Add three dogs on his lap and this could be him!

ROFL Lynette - that picture looks just like my hubby minus the beard!! I love "there's a nap for that" lol lol! What a brilliant card for Father's day!!!

Thank you for your simply lovely comment on my blog - you are always so kind with your comments! I have to admit to having more time than most people for being creative (although not always the energy) because I am not well enough to work. Recently, when I haven't been well enough to get into my ARTHaven and sit at my table to be creative, I can do zentangles from the comfort of the recliner (no, NOT like your hilarious card lol lol!!) and can even colour them using my new Inktense pencils and those simply brilliant water brushes so you don't even need a jar of water to knock over!

Sorry to be so long responding but I've been having problems with my comments awaiting moderation not being visible - it turns out it's a Blogger/Firefox problem since the latest Firefox upgrade, so I'm temporarily using IE till they sort it out - hopefully soon!
