Red and White Christmas

Finally - a card continuing my mission to use all of my Stampin' Up! stamps. We have been busy every weekend for a long time and it doesn't seem to be letting up. The evenings are busy, too, and Wyatt seems to need more of my time during the day. All of that adds up to no stamping time. When I have had a few minutes, I just sat in my stamping room and didn't know where to start:(

This card uses a stamp from the retired SU! set called "A Beautiful Thing." That stamp is the center of the "snowflake" - which is probably a doily. :) I think it may have been cut with a Lifestyle Crafts die, but I'm not sure about that at all. The die belongs to a friend. I mounted the snowflake on foam squares. I embossed the background with a Lifestyle Crafts embossing folder. The red matting sentiment was cut with an Impression Obsession die.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Very pretty Christmas card! Love all the texture and dimension!

Don't feel bad about sitting at the craft table and not knowing where to start.......happens way too often here!!!

Your card is lovely Lynette. Good for you for being busy and away from stamping. You needed the break. Not to worry, you will be sitting at your desk and creating your beautiful cards once again. Enjoy the fall and your grandson.:)

Love this one, Lynette! So dimensional, and I always love white on white, and what beautiful shadows the snowflake casts. Gorgeous textures, and the addition of the small amount of red really creates some drama. Great work!

Very pretty, Lynette! I love the crisp red and white as well as the doily die cut and fabulous embossed background. I do the same thing sometimes -- just sit and stare and don't know where to start. By the time I decide I've used up all my time!

Pretty card! I recently purchased a similar Impression Obsession greeting die. I like the way you used it as part of a mat for layering. And yes, that is a Lifestyle Crafts doily die. It's the Antique Doily die if anyone is interested. Funny that I recently purchased that die, also! LOL! I've been wanting to try my hand at some white on white cards and you've just confirmed my thoughts that that doily die will be very pretty to use on cards of that sort. But, now my head is into Halloween, fall and Thanksgiving cards, so it may be a while until I get to any white on white ones.
