Musical Birthday

A very quick card for today. A couple weeks ago, I was looking through my supplies to see if there was anything that I could get rid of. I came across my Stampin' Up! Coluzzle system. Anyone remember those?? It was before dies! I had to try it out, for old time's sake. I cut these two circles with it. (It also cuts ovals.) Of course, I couldn't toss them. One was white, so I used a blending brush to add slight color around the edges and added the purple circle over it. Then I embossed them with a Sizzix folder and mounted on foam squares. The music die cut was in my card parts and I added it on top of the circles. The sentiment is stamped and die-cut with a Gina K set and popped up. I embossed the background piece with a Darice embossing folder.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

I love everything about your card. From the embossed background to the die cut music staff. Just too cute!

That Darice embossing folder created the perfect background for your musical card, which is awesome! I never had the Coluzzle system, but I do have a Martha Stewart circle cutter that I never use anymore. Haven't even thought of it in a very long time.

Beautiful card, Lynette. I have some of Coluzzle templates somewhere, at the back of a cupboard probably as I haven’t used them for years. I’ll have to dig them out sometime and see if I can remember to use them.
