One-Layer Card (and Two-Layer Card)

I made this one-layer card for the One-Layer Wednesday challenge on Susan's blog, Simplicity.  The challenge this week was to use stamps and ink only, and layer them.

I used Stampin' Up!'s Lovely as a Tree stamp set.  I inked up the oak tree stamp with markers.  I used Old Olive over the leaves, then used Always Artichoke to "thump" over it.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Birthday Basics set.
Then, I made another one:)  I trimmed it down this time and mounted it on Dimensionals onto a white card base.  I think I like this one better.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

I like them both but I think the second one is classier. Both are pretty cards though

I really liked your card. I think that stamp is perfect. I have that set so must use it again. It is a great set of stamps.

I have that stamp set but don't think I've actually used that particular stamp yet -- and I love it. Using the two colors on the leaves really makes it more realistic!

Both cards are elegant and, like you, I do like the dimensional a bit better. Have a happy 4th of July!

Love, LOVE both these cards! I, too, especially like the one with the extra panel, but if you added anything more, it wouldn't be nearly as beautiful. Always love white on white.
