"Embedded" Die Cut Flowers

I love the technique of "embedding" die cuts into a background piece with an embossing folder. On this first card, both the flowers and the sentiment were cut with dies - both Memory Box, I believe, but I'm not 100% certain. I glued the sentiment to the kraft cardstock and then embossed with a Stampin' Up folder. Then I added the flowers and matted with red.
For the second card, I attached the flowers and then embossed. I printed the sentiment on the computer and cut it with a Spellbinders label die and matted with black. Both cards have kraft bases.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Great cards love the color combination and the fact that you embossed flowers on one card and not the other - great ideas!

I've never embedded a die cut into an embossed background. I like the way yours turned out so I'll have to give it a try. I have some of those from D.M, too.

I think this technique is really cool, too! It makes me think of inlay. Looks wonderful on the textured background.
