My snowflakes were cut and embossed using a Spellbinders die. I adhered them with foam squares. The red strip was embossed with a Sizzix snowflake folder. The sentiment is from a Jillibean set.
I often do my posts ahead of time and write nothing personal - just the facts, ma'am. :) Then I re-read them later and wish I had written more. Well, today, I'll write a little more! I didn't have Wyatt on Monday and Tuesday, so I had a fair amount of stamping time, which was fun. The reason Monday was because of a nice event. He went to the Mall of America with his immediate and extended family on his mom's side. The reason for Tuesday wasn't so great. He spent Monday night at the hospital. He had been throwing up and got dehydrated. He came home after one night, though, and is doing well. Poor little fellow. Other than that, he is doing wonderfully!
Today is my dad's 89th birthday. Happy Birthday, Dad! (Thought I'd add that, even though he doesn't read my blog:) He IS on the computer quite a bit, though, doing other things.) The card I made for him is posted here.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Glad to hear Wyatt recovered quickly - our son and DIL are expecting #2 at end of May - next year when she goes back to work, I will retire from hospital and we will have both grandkids four days a week.
wending Easter hugs
Gosh, I haven't had time to make Christmas cards lately, but I do have some I haven't posted yet. I love the sentiment on this one with the patterned "wish", and the snowflakes with the hearts. Haven't seen those dies before. I'm so glad to hear Wyatt is doing better. It's easy for a child to get dehydrated when they're throwing up, and especially if they're feverish, as well. Happy BDay to your Dad!
You have a headstart on cards for Christms 2014. So glad Wyatt is home again and Happy Birthday to your dad!!!!
I'm glad to hear that Wyatt is OK, Lynette. These things can flare up very quickly, and calm down again equally quickly, can't they! I love your latest card - very striking and stylish with the bold snowflakes, and the card you made for your dad is lovely. Well done him, getting to be 89. Dad was 90 last June and died in December after a long and very fruitful and productive life. Many happy returns to your Dad and I hope he is enjoying his birthday.
Thanks for your visit and your nice comment - yes, it was a lovely afternoon out, and the weather was perfect for it. Lovely to see an English garden at its best in the Spring.
A very happy Easter to you and your family.

I love your card! Those snowflakes are so pretty!
Sorry Wyatt had a rough time but glad to hear he's doing well overall.
Happy Birthday to your Dad too! :)
That is a beautiful card Lynette!

Thanks for another nice comment, Lynette - yes, it's a beauty isn't it, and pretty complicated! I am really looking forward to getting to grips with it and learning all its tricks. After my old sewing machine which was fairly basic (although it did a lot) this is a whole new ball game! But as you say, right up my alley! Unfortunately I have a bit of a deadline on another project that I've got to work on first, but that's a really fun one too. There will be stuff on my blog about that in due course.
Have a great weekend and a very happy Easter, you and all your family.
