Flashy Florals

The set I used for today's cards is called "Flashy Florals" by Stampin' Up! I'm pretty sure I hadn't used it before. I bought lots of my SU sets from my demonstrator after they were retired. This set consists of eight stamps.

The rose was stamped with two different stamps. I started by stamping one rose on the cardstock. Then I masked off the flower and stamped the leaves. I stamped the flower twice more on scraps and cut them out. I glued one directly on the cardstock with the first flower and mounted the other on on foam squares. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. I cut it into two pieces - it came as one line.

This card uses the remaining five stamps from the set. I really wasn't even sure what all the stamps were "supposed" to be, so I just winged it. LOL! I stamped the flowers in a lavender color. Then I used the three circles to stamp in the center with dark purple. Then I added the little "leaves" with a light green and drew the stems. I matted with matching purple. I stamped the background with the remaining two stamps. The sentiment is again from Papertrey Ink. I mounted the image and sentiment on foam squares.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Beautiful cards-I especially like the one with purple flowers as I'm partial to shades of purple.

You made quick work of this set with your two pretty cards! I'm not familiar with this one. I was all ready to start on my next set, finally, when I got distracted by another project. I need to focus more.
