Two More Swirly Trees:)

I have two more Christmas cards that I've made with my Memory Box Christmas tree die. I guess I feel I need to make several to get my money's worth from it!

I had one more left that was cut out of white cardstock. I placed it on another piece of white cardstock and then sponged green distress ink over the whole thing. This gave me a green piece with a white tree, and a green tree. I matted the green piece with shimmery gold paper. I stamped the sentiment - from Paper Smooches - with Versamark and embossed with detail gold embossing powder. I added several red gems to adorn the tree.
I used the green tree for this second card. I again matted with shimmery gold, and I mounted that panel on foam squares. The patterned cardstock is from a Recollections matstack that I got a few years ago.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

These are great, Lynette. I love how you can get totally different effects from the same stamp! The swirly tree is really fun.

Thanks for your lovely comment - coming from you that's praise indeed! The card isn't really my style with a lot of white and glitter and such, but for a diamond wedding it seemed appropriate, and it is definitely good for us to step outside our comfort zones once in a while and do something different! The couple loved it, anyway, and that's the main thing. I was so happy to be well enough to go, and everyone was so surprised and pleased to see me, it was a joy!

It makes such a pretty tree I can see how you'd want to make a bunch. And I can understand about wanting to get your money's worth. Sometimes I'll stamp an image a bunch of times and get them all colored, sell enough to pay for the stamp and keep one for my own use. It's all fun!

Thanks for your lovely comment, Lynette - yes, where we live really is beautiful, and we soooo appreciate it! I do especially, as recently I haven't been able to get out as much as I would like. We are very blessed. There's lots of variety of scenery in our county as well - not just beautiful coastline, but wild open moorland, agricultural land (small fields like a patchwork quilt divided by ancient hedge banks), woodland and rivers. We don't have to travel a million miles to see any of it, either!
