You Make Me So Very Happy

(OOPS. I meant to schedule this for Monday. Oh well, here it is.) Another card that I made on Friday while I was crafting with Bonnie - a neighbor and friend. I came across the negative of a die-cut heart and couldn't bear to toss it. So I trimmed it down. It had been done with double-sided paper, so I pieced together a couple scraps to place behind the heart. Then I took a thin strip of the patterned side and stamped the sentiment (from Gina K) on it. I also added a couple of very thin strips of the solid color to put on the top and bottom of the sentiment. That strip was popped up on foam squares. I added some white dots with my gel pen along the edge of the heart and both sides of the sentiment. The background was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

That was a perfect way to use the negative die-cut. I need to remember that when I get around to making Valentines (probably not 'til January 2026).

Your post is welcome any day of the week. I can't bear to toss those negatives either when they come out looking like a perfect frame. Love the tiny dots and red on red. One of my favorite colors that I don't use often enough. I miss having a friend to craft with.

Great card Lynette, an effective way of using the negative of a die cut.
