"Pressed Butterflies" Birthday

I learned a new technique from one of the cards that was a case of one of mine from the Featured Stamper challenge on SplitCoastStampers.  I learned it from this card. In that description is a link to another card which links to a tutorial. (Sorry about all the linking, but I want to give credit where credit is due!)  Basically, you punch out shapes, glue them to cardstock, and emboss. The shapes become pressed tightly into the paper and it almost looks like they are a part of that cardstock.

Anyway, other than that, there isn't much to my card! The butterflies are punched with a Martha Stewart punch, and the sentiment, from Repeat Impressions, is stamped with Perfect Plum ink. I believe the Cuttlebug folder I used is called Script.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
