One More Yellow/Black and Daisy Birthday!

Love this combo:) I only have one more of these daisies left, though. You may be seeing it again soon - who knows! I'm not sure I've ever used anything up before!

I cut the black circle with a Spellbinders die - using my Grand Calibur. I was going to do a post about it today, but I have to think about it more. It should be ready for tomorrow's post. The yellow patterned paper is from a Recollections stack. The daisy is from K&Co. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and I embossed the yellow panel with a Sizzix folder.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Wow! I absolutely love the die cut with the daisy off center! So very pretty! I'm almost out of those daisies, too, and am probably hoarding the last few. I tried to get more at our local paper crafts store, but they didn't have them, sniff, sniff.

I always love yellow and black... but then I love black with lots of bright colors. This is so pretty.

I'll be anxious to read your comments on the Grand Caliber. While I can see it being nice because you can put more dies through at a time or put larger dies through it, I've still never really wanted one. I don't have space for yet another machine anyway and I don't want to give up being able to use the steel rule dies as well as the wafer thin dies. Since I only make cards, I don't really need to be able to use larger dies anyway. Back when the Grand Caliber first came out I read about a lot of people having trouble with it. They must have corrected whatever was wrong since a lot of people now seem to own them, but I think that is what really turned me off to begin with and I've never gotten past it. I've never had the opportunity to try one, but when I've seen them used in videos,it always looks to me like you have to turn the crank a lot ,ore times to roll things through than you do with the Sizzix or Cuttlebug machines. Maybe that's not important at all, but it makes it look like more work. :)
