Embossed and Stenciled Flowers

Just a super quick card for today. I used an Altenew embossing folder and stencil set for this card front, to show a friend. Decided to just put it on a card base. Then I added a pre-made foiled sentiment from my parts. The sentiment is popped up.

Birthday Wishes

Another card like one from a few days ago. The closed card is four and a quarter inches square. The image panel came from a mat stack and is popped up. I stamped the sentiment (from Gina K) and gold-embossed it. Here is a photo of the opened card. So very simple to make!

Two Miscellaneous Cards

I have gotten to spend a lot of time in my stamping room the last week or so, and it's been great! Still using up old things, though. I haven't even used my Gina K purchases that I bought at her Fourth of July sale!! Soon, I hope.

The flowers on this first card are from Gina K - stamps, stencils and dies. The sentiment is also from Gina K. The big flower and sentiment are popped up. I added a thin strip of purple and also black above the patterned panel.

The die-cut piece on this card was still in my die when I went to put it away. (It was used for my card from Tuesday.) The black frame was in my parts. I let some of the flower pieces hang out of the frame. It was so plain so I added some doodling and lines with a white gel pen. Not terrible happy with this card, but maybe someone will like it.

More Cards in Pink

More pieces cut from a patterned paper stack. Once again, this flower was not colored in - just a gold outline. But, I colored it with Copic markers. It's matted and popped up. The sentiment is foiled and also popped up. The background panel was from the same pad. I added metallic gold stickers on both sides of it.

Same as the first one - different image and sentiment, also foiled.

And one more. I embossed the background on this one with a Gina K folder.

Die-Cut Background

All three of these cards were done with one of my newer dies. (There were three in the set - here is the second.) I used the same three patterns/solid for all three. I added a "Hugs" sentiment to this first one.

For this one, I added the die-cut flowers. I also used the die on patterned paper and added those pieces into the black outline. I think the sentiment is from Gina K.

Same thing, with a sentiment from my parts.

Fun-Fold Birthday

Here is a card that I made using double-sided paper. The design came from my friend Cheryl's blog, Paper Panacea. One post using it was August 22. There was another earlier, if you wanted to check out more of her blog. I glued down the front flap on my card. I added glittery strips on each side of the front flap. The sentiment was cut out of silver foil cardstock.

Another identical card using a different sentiment - partly the leftovers from the first card. I added thin strips of patterned paper on each side of the center panel.

Assortment of Parts

Using up more pieces from a stack of patterned papers. I believe these are all from the same stack. I used variously-done sentiments from my stash. All but this first sentiment are shiny silver.

I added a Memory Box butterfly to this last card.

Love Grows Here

Three nearly identical cards. The only difference is the background - three pieces cut from the same 12 x 12 sheet of patterned paper. I embossed the backgrounds with a Gina K folder. The sentiment panels were matted and popped up. Not sure what these cards could be used for, but the panels were in my pieces and I wanted to use them. (Cheryl - you will be getting these for the thrift store. :-) )

Simply Thinking of You

Another card part used up. Here is one of the butterfly pieces that I showed you a few days ago. The bottom panel was embossed with a Gina K folder. The sentiment was foiled. The image and sentiment are popped up on foam squares. I added a thin foil sticker above the embossed panel.

Fancy-fold Card

This card, when folded up, is four and a half inches square. When my friend came over last week, she showed this fold to me. The main image is from the same paper pad as the last couple days. The patterned paper is from the same pad. The sentiment is gold embossed and is from Gina K.

Birthday in Pink

Well, one of those card parts from yesterday used up. Actually, two, counting the frame. I embossed the frame with an Altenew folder. I was so happy to be able to use it up and not just toss it. The flower (which is from a paper pad, but colored with Copic markers) is popped up on foam squares. The sentiment is from Gina K and is gold-embossed to match the gold in the flower, which you really can't see!

More Card Parts to Use

When looking for some patterned paper to make a card, I came across some sheets from a patterned paper stack that I hadn't cut apart yet. So, of course I had to get that done. After separating out the pieces that I will give to a scrapbooking friend, I matted the ones that I wanted to keep. The flowers in the third column were not colored, so I used some Copic markers to color them. When looking for matting cardstock, I also found a frame that I will try to use on one of the cards. Always more parts! LOL!

Fun With a Friend

I had a friend over to play on Friday, and here are three cards that I made. Nothing different - I've probably had cards nearly identical to each of these - but here they are, anyway. This first one has one of my favorite flowers and leaves - from Taylored Expressions. The flower and leaves had been stamped, colored and die-cut a little while ago. I had two sets, so I made two of these cards. The sentiment is from Gina K. I added a thin gold metallic strip sticker beside the patterned paper. The flower itself and the sentiment are mounted on foam squares.

This one was done with a Gina K stencil set. The sentiment is die-cut, along with its shadow. The sentiment is popped up.

For this one, I just used the ink that was already on my blending brushes for the coloring. Then I used a black ink pad to rub over the de-bossed side (that I had colored on.) The sentiment had been die-cut and I added a few more layers to it.

It was a fun day with Bonnie - hi there! :-)

You Make Me So Very Happy

(OOPS. I meant to schedule this for Monday. Oh well, here it is.) Another card that I made on Friday while I was crafting with Bonnie - a neighbor and friend. I came across the negative of a die-cut heart and couldn't bear to toss it. So I trimmed it down. It had been done with double-sided paper, so I pieced together a couple scraps to place behind the heart. Then I took a thin strip of the patterned side and stamped the sentiment (from Gina K) on it. I also added a couple of very thin strips of the solid color to put on the top and bottom of the sentiment. That strip was popped up on foam squares. I added some white dots with my gel pen along the edge of the heart and both sides of the sentiment. The background was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.

Embossed Backgrounds

Looking for an embossing folder the other day, I came across this one from Darice and thought I would make a few more masculine cards. For this first one, I rubbed a kraft-ish ink pad over the embossing. The sentiment had been hot foiled and was in my card parts.

For this one, I embossed it on some mirror cardstock. The sentiment is from Gina K and was foiled.

And for this last one, I embossed black cardstock and rubbed some white ink over it. Again, the sentiment is from Gina K.

Christmas in Red and White

I had cut this bow from some foiled leftovers. I embossed this card front with a Darice folder. The sentiment is from Avery Elle. I also added three red 'nail heads."

The "joy" had also been cut with foiled leftovers. I had enough for two of these cards. Same embossing folder as the first card, and some more nail heads.

Same Die as Yesterday - but Different

I used the same die for these cards as I used on yesterday's cards. But, first I removed the centermost part from each section. So the inserts on these are a bit larger than yesterday. If I want to use them, I still have the pieces and I just have to cut them separately instead of all together. The sentiment is black and shiny.

And here are the "negative" pieces from the first card. (Actually, this is the first card and the first one is the negative. LOL!) The sentiment was recently cut out of some scraps.

A New Die

I just bought this die (and two similar ones in the set) on Amazon. I had to use them right away. The die cuts all of the pieces. I used three different cardstocks for these cards. For this first one, the patterned paper is the star of the show. I pieced it back together and added the sentiment which I had die-cut out of a scrap of shiny black.

I embossed the solid color panels on this card with a Darice folder. I also used that lovely set from Taylored Expressions for the flowers and leaves. The sentiment is from Gina K, I believe.
On this one, I also embossed with the same Darice folder. It's just like the second one, but different pieces are different colors. The sentiment was foiled and is from Gina K. The flowers and the sentiment are popped up.

Christmas and Hello There

I had a few scraps laying around so I used them to die cut some sentiments. The two sentiments on this post were some of them. The ornament on this first card was also laying around. It was a partial from a couple weeks ago. I cut around it. The sentiment and the bow were cut from the negative hot foil piece. I matted with white and popped up the panel.

This sentiment was also die-cut from a scrap. I colored the leaves with a white pen and then used a Copic marker to make them green. I matted the sentiment on some white cardstock and used patterned paper to cover the cardfront.
