Rub-Ons

I have really been trying to use up a tiny fraction of the "stuff" that I have. A few days ago I took a few items out of my stickers and rub-ons drawer to use. Here are two of the cards that I made. I actually used up the last of two packages - the rub-ons for today's cards, and the stickers for tomorrow's cards.

For both of them, I used a Papertrey Ink die to cut the three-frame window. (That, of course, left me with six squares that I need to use on other cards, as I can't possibly just toss them out!) The sentiments for both cards are from Papertrey. On this first card, the top panel is the same size as the card front, and is mounted on foam squares.

Edited to add: The die I used for these cards can be found here.

For this second card, I matted with yellow and added the rub-ons to the yellow. Nothing is popped up on this one.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Cute cards! I looked, but I could not find the Papertrey Ink die you mentioned. I found one with six squares, but not three.

Thanks for the chuckle about having to use the 6 squares left from your die cutting on today's cards. :) I know the feeling. I save all usable scraps, too. I think it's a sickness! LOL!

And for Julie above, Simon Says Stamp has a similar die to the one you used. I don't know how the measurements compare, but the one they have is call Tri Square Die. My Favorite Things also has some window dies. They vary in number of "windows" they cut and I think they have "stitching" lines around the outside of the opening they cut. I don't own any of the MFT dies and have only seen them online.

Great cards, though. I've never used rub-ons, but I think I have one pack in my stash somewhere. I have a lot of stickers and have never used a single one! LOL! I need to start doing what you are doing and use some of my stash!! Thanks for the push!!!!

I once used rub-ons for simple sentiments like "thank you" and "happy birthday." I haven't used them in a long time, though. I should really use up what I have.

Your cards are great. Good use of those stash items. As to the 6 left over squares, I found a card on Pinterest that I really like that uses 6 white squares. Maybe you'd like it, too: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/22025485662655837/

Thanks, Anonymous! I will go check those out. I thought it was such a cute idea. I also have a huge stash of stickers and rub-ons that I NEVER use.

You're so good about using up your parts and supplies. I know how the supplies add up, that's for sure. I've never seen such cute rub ons, and your decision to use the three-window die allowed you use three rub ons on each card and make it look even cuter! These are both just as sweet as can be!

Cute rub-on stickers! Great to use with that die! I'm not sure if I have any rub-on designs but I certainly have a lot of stickers from Penny Black and Elizabeth Craft that I need to use! Not sure I'll ever live long enough. :)
