'Tis the Season

My second Christmas card for 2025. The focal image is left-over from my calendar making. It's part of a Darice folder, matted with green metallic and popped up on foam squares. The sentiment is from Echo Park.

Anniversary Thank Yous

We requested donations to local food shelves and a child food program instead of gifts for us for our anniversary, so I'm expecting to need several thank you cards. I made 35 of these. I hope I need more! The paper is from Recollections. The sentiment on this first one is from Verve. The sentiment on the second one is from The Paper Studio. Simple, but I like the layout and I based this card on a previous one I had made. The panels are popped up on foam squares.

Ferny Birthday

The background for this card was made from my card class. The folder is from Spellbinders and is so pretty. I had done the ink-blending per the instructions, but then when I went to emboss the panel, I did it upside down so it's debossed. I didn't want to use it on my card-class card so I set it aside at the time and now it's on a card. This card really isn't my favorite, but you get to see all the cards that I make! I added the foiled sentiment (on foam squares, of course!) and some gold sequins.

Using Up More Parts

These card panels were pretty much made and laying on my table ready to be put together and finished. The patterned paper is from a matstack from Recollections that I had been working with a while back. Then I added some pre-foiled sentiments from my little box of sentiments.

The gold-embossed-on-vellum butterfly on this first one was also in my card parts. The sentiment and the butterfly are popped up on foam squares.

This sentiment is from Gina K. I added three Nuvo drops.

Encouragement Card?

The image for this card was an extra one I had after making my calendar pages. I fussy-cut it out and popped it up on foam squares. It is from My Favorite Things, as is the sentiment. I colored it with my old Stampin' Up! chalks, but then I added a little extra coloring with Prismacolor pencils. The patterned paper is from a matstack from Recollections.

First Christmas Card for 2025

When I was wrapping my calendars earlier this week, I found this center panel in with my tags. I didn't think I would ever use it for a tag so I took it into my stamping room and made this card. I had cut the center out of it, so I silver-embossed the sentiment on a scrap of white cardstock to place behind it, and I added three gems. I popped that panel up and added some Gina K paper for the background. I have my first Christmas card for next year! You can't tell in the photo, but the swirls on the center panel are foil-y and the matting for that piece is shimmery.

OLO Markers - SCT Card Class

I got up really early yesterday and was able to put some things in order in my stamping room, and also put together several cards. How fun! I had pieces left from making calendars and from my card class and just in general. I got all those pieces taken care of. Always a good feeling. We also got some things sorted and tossed from the cedar chest. More to go and also other projects, but we're making progress.

This card is from the card class I took. We were given four colors of OLO markers and an image from Angie Blom. I really like how we blended the purple and the green - who would have thought of that! :-) I fussy-cut the image and popped it up on foam squares. I also fussy-cut the banner and added it on top of the image.

November Calendar Page

Here is my calendar page for the month of November. The image is from Inkadinkado. I embossed it, and the sentiment which is from Gina K, with gold embossing powder and colored with Copic markers.

Well, I'm making progress. Earlier this week, I finished up my calendars, got them put together, packaged up and even wrapped with Christmas paper. Yahoo!! Now to get on with my other tasks. MAYBE I'll even have some time to work on my "class cards." That would be wonderful.

Eighteenth Anniversary

Today is our son and daughter-in-law's 18th anniversary, and here is the card that I made for them. It's a design by Gina K, and the stencil and sentiment are by Gina K, also. The flowers are from Taylored Expressions.

Halloween Cards for the Grandkids

I got the grandkids' Halloween cards done a couple days ago. They are all the same, except for the patterned paper background. They are gate-fold cards. The stamps are from Gina K. The paper is from Recollections. Simple enough.

I'm slowly getting some things caught up. Going through photos for our 50th anniversary party was a task that I'm glad to be done with. In some ways digital photography is better than printed photos, but in some ways it's not!! At any rate, I have gone through enough of them and now our son will take over. :-) My calendars are half done, but at least I have time for them. But, time is racing by!! I still find time to do some golfing, but it seems like my friends are done for the year and it's getting harder to convince Jim to get out on the course with me! Anyway, sorry about getting behind on my blog visiting again. Computer time has very much taken a back seat for me.

Thinking of You

This card is another card that "just happened." I bought a big box of envelopes, and they came with clear round seals. I guess I'm supposed to put them on the envelopes after the flaps are sealed, but I'm not sure. At any rate, I wondered what would happen if I put one on a piece of scratch paper and ink-blended over it. And then, could I remove it. Yes, I could. So I put it back down and did another. Then thought, "Well, I could just as well do one more." Then a little more ink over all of it. Of course, I could not throw that away, so I added it to a piece of cardstock and popped it up on foam squares. I found a stamp set that stamps circles and squares, so I stamped on the card front and added the turquoise panel over it. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado.

Mass Production #2

I made twelve of this card, and my Christmas cards for the year are complete.

The image is from an old rubber stamp set from Recollections. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn. They are both embossed with gold embossing powder. The image panel is mounted on foam squares.

It feels great to have the cards done. I have the labels ready to print, also, but want to make sure there are no changes in the next month and a half.

I am busy going through stuff in the cedar chest and some old photos of ours. We are planning a 50th anniversary party for us (well, mostly our kids are doing the planning) and it's only three and a half weeks away. That time will go so fast! Then I have a whole list of things to get done that are not short projects. I'm still hoping to get some more cards done from my card class, but they will wait.

Mass Production #1

Well, I have my Christmas cards for this year finished - inside and out!! Yippee! I was getting a bit stressed and really wanted them done, so I made twenty of this card. I then did twelve of another that I will share tomorrow. That, along with the ones that were finished, makes 79. Whew.

Not much explanation needed. The ornament stamp is from Hampton Art. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn. I cut the rectangles out with dies and the panel is mounted on foam squares.

SCT Classes - Scrapbook.Com

My last batch of SCT class cards. These are from Scrapbook.com.

I still have many company's products to use, but I have too much going on right now to work on them. They will be a treat for later - much later! My Christmas cards and my calendars are calling me, along with many other things!!

SCT Classes - LDRS Creative

More SCT Class cards - these are LDRS Creative. The first one is very different from the class card, but the second two are pretty much like the class cards. (The first one was to be watercolored and then use a black Copic marker to color the entire background. I instead painted with metallic paints and splattered some gold over everything.)

SCT Classes - Spellbinders

These cards are from the SCT classes and from Spellbinders. I followed the instructions very, very closely. Isn't that scissors cool??

Sorry you can't see the sparkly centers in the flowers.

SCT Classes - Taylored Epressions

These cards are from my Crop and Create Delivered card class from Scrapbook and Cards Today (SCT). I am not even half done with the classes, but I may not get to them until after Christmas!! For now, I will share eventually what I have finished.

These cards are from Taylored Expressions. The sentiments were done at the same time, using four stencils. Kind of cool. I pretty much followed the instructions for the cards exactly. The last card is a shaker card.

Happy 16th Birthday, Andrew!

Our oldest grandchild turned 16 yesterday!! I can hardly believe it! He got his driver's license yesterday, too.

Here is the card I made for him. I used a layout that I learned in my card class. I hope to post some of those cards soon. Not much to say about the card other than that. The sentiment is die-cut. The photo is not matted - it's open around it, using a piece of acetate to hold it in place.

October Calendar Page

Oops, I almost forgot to do my calendar page post for today!! I can't believe it's October, and our weather certainly doesn't say October!! At any rate, here is my calendar page for the month. It's very "retro" as the stamp and the paper are very, very ancient. The stamp is a wood-mounted one from the dollar bin at Michael's (remember those?) and the paper is also from Recollections. The image is just very simply colored with Copic markers.

I am still working on my card class cards, but I guess I can start sharing them, since the class is over. I think there were over sixteen classes and I'm not quite half done. Hopefully soon I will take some pictures and post them on my blog. I should share more vacation photos, too. So much to do, so little time. And it's still golf weather!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

I'm (Sort of) Back

I still have many things to do around the house, especially sorting through my mom and dad's pictures, but I am back in the states, anyway. We went to England, Wales, Norway and Iceland. What a trip!!  Maybe I'll share more photos later, but this was taken while we were on narrow boats in the canals of England/Wales for a week. In total, we had four boats with 13 friends for that portion of the trip. From there we went to Norway - Oslo, Balestrand and Bergen - before going on a seven-day cruise up around the northernmost part of Norway. From there we went to Iceland for two days.

Also, I'm doing a huge card-making class through Scrapbook and Cards Today - Crop and Create Delivered. There are nearly 20 companies participating, so there is a LOT of product. And a lot of homework before the classes officially start on Thursday. So, I still won't be around to do any blogging or visiting blogs. Fun stuff, but keeping very busy. I am still golfing when I can, also, so that takes up more time.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

September Calendar Page

Welcome, September! For this calendar page, I used Gina K stamps. I stamped with white pigment ink and embossed with white powder. Then I ink-blended over that, masking off the bottom part of the page.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
