Pink Daisies for Nancy

Today is the birthday of a woman in our stamping group. She lives in Florida and we've never had the pleasure of meeting her in person. Here is the card I sent to her.

I cut the four smaller diamond-shaped pieces out of white, then temporarily taped them together. I stamped the images (two separate stamps) and colored them with Copic markers. I added some "specks" with an ancient Stampin' Up! stamp. I cut a large diamond out of black, separated the four smaller diamonds, and added them to the large diamond. The sentiment is from a different unbranded set.The diamonds were cut with QuicKutz dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Neat idea to stamp the image onto the four diamonds and then back them with black. It makes such a unique and interesting focal point. Your coloring looks perfect, too. I'm certain Nancy will love it!

What a nice way to do the focal image! It's so pretty, Lynette! I like your idea of cutting the four smaller diamonds first, then putting them back together for stamping and coloring. When I do this type of thing I cut after coloring. Sheesh, your idea is much better! It's really nice to have them all fit onto the larger diamond, too. It's a sleek and classy design, and the simple striped paper is perfect with it!
