Letting the Paper Do the "Work!"

I bought this matstack of patterned Christmas cardstock several years ago. I made another little dent in it by making these two cards:)

For this first one, I matted the pretty plaid (with shiny gold, which doesn't show up in the picture) with shimmery gold paper. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and is embossed with detail gold embossing powder - which also doesn't show up!
For this second one, I used a piece of patterned cardstock which included the script background and the burgundy design. I simply matted with matching burgundy cardstock added the sentiment - also from PTI.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Wow! The paper did the work beautifully on these two cards, but you have to give yourself some credit for putting them together. They look very professional. Love that the first has a touch of gold in the paper with a gold embossed sentiment. And the second is just downright gorgeous. Your sentiment ink matches so well that it looks like it's simply part of the paper. Love these!
