Thinking of You

I made this card for a friend who lost her husband a year ago.

The die-cut border I cut at a friend's house recently. I made the card around it, coordinating the colors. But when I was putting it together, I decided that I wanted it a little darker - so I used an ink pad and rubbed on it. Now it matches perfectly, since it was the same ink! :) The flowers were stamped using an Inkadinkado stamp. I inked it up first with the green ink, rubbed the ink off the flowers and added the purple with a marker. I also added two different sized gem-like stickers to the flower centers. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Thanks Lynette. It is just beautiful in person. Thank you so much for remembering. It was a hard week but now it is behind me and hopefully things will be better again.

That is a nice die cut to use as the main design on the card. Such a pretty little design to use with it.

That's really pretty, Lynette, and I love how you've matched up the ink. I am sure your friend was very touched that you remembered her hubby's anniversary and sent her such a beautiful card. Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog - my friend went home on Sunday and it was so lovely having her! I am settling into home routine again and trying to rest as much as possible. Replying to all the great comments from all my friends is taking a long time!! I've now got my new blog "The Gutless Bag Lady" up and running, too.
