Gold and Black Birthday

I was shopping one day last week, and went to Marshall's. I really do not like shopping, but I had some time to kill. I had no idea that they would have any craft items there! I bought two Martha Stewart punches and some markers at a great price.

I used some shimmery gold paper for this design. I used one of my new punches. It was an extra-deep one, and I punched it from the top and from the bottom, lining them up. I added a thin gold strip across the top. I matted on black. I used a stamp from Papertrey Ink and gold embossing powder for the sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Ha! You and me, both! The only shopping I really enjoy is craft shopping. Hard to believe you did this with a punch. Amazing! Love the dramatic look of the black and gold!

Oh Lynette, the gold and black is so elegant and even great for a masculine card. When I was in Florida in November I discovered craft stuff at Marshalls, I was like Harriet, who knew?
