Stenciled Thank You

One of the backgrounds I stenciled to bring to my retreat. I stamped the sentiment and punched it out with a circle punch. I sponged a little ink on it and added a couple "nail head" stickers. The center circle is mounted on foam squares.

Hot-Foiled Butterfly

I made this background to show one of the women at my retreat ink-blending. After blending the ink, I spritzed it with a sparkly mist. I simply trimmed down the panel and matted it and added a butterfly and sentiment that I had made with my Glimmer Hot Foil machine. The butterfly and sentiment are mounted on foam squares. I brushed a bit of ink onto the foiled pieces to match the background.

Just Because Gnome

I bought a set of stamps and dies a long time ago, and as soon as I got them, I made up about nine of them. I don't think I have ever used any of them. So, I still have a lot more to use! But, here is one, at least. He is popped up on foam squares. I added him to a panel from my Card Parts book.

Stickers

Well, I got home from my retreat on Sunday. I ended up making 40 cards, so I guess that was quite successful. It was a great time. It was kind of fun having "limited supplies," even though I had quite a bit with me. I had prepared a few things to take with me, including some stenciled pieces and also I had added these stickers to cardstock and matched up some cardstock for matting. So here are the first six of the cards that I made. I won't go into much detail, as they are all quite simple. I stenciled the background on this one and the next using a Gina K stencil.

This one has a background done with a cover plate die.

Graduation Congrats

Someone at the scrapbooking (stamping for me!) retreat asked me if I could make a graduation card for her. Not having all my supplies here, I did the best I could. Someone had the sticker that I used - I added it to a piece of cardstock and trimmed it down. I die-cut the sentiment out of thick white card and also some silver cardstock and layered them together. I embossed the bottom of the card with a Darice folder, scored a couple lines with my ScorBuddy, and matted the panel with silver. She was pleased enough with it.

Double-Embossed Thank You

I came across a card like this on my blog from YEARS ago and thought I'd try it again. I inked up both sides of a Sizzix embossing folder. Then I folded a piece of 5 1/2 x 4 1/3 inch cardstock - about two thirds of the way up. Then I ran it through my embossing folder. Here is the result. I added a thin strip of cardstock between the two sections. The sentiment is die cut.

Hello Daisies

I was playing around with a Hero Arts stamp and die set last week and made these two cards. I did the coloring with Copic markers and added Stickles to the bees' wings. The insects are all popped up on foam squares.

At the time of this posting, I am at a scrapbooking retreat with a friend and three of her scrapbooking friends. I will not be doing scrapbooking, however! Hopefully I brought along enough stuff to keep me busy for three days. I think I did.

Vellum Flowers

Oops - I've this card, and two more for tomorrow, done for a while, but I forgot to do posts about them. Oh well - I've had nothing else to post anyway! These flowers, dots and leaves are all vellum flowers in a package from Martha Stewart that I've had for many years. The rest of them are ready to be given away. I glued them each down and added a popped-up sentiment from Gina K.

I believe these are Mary Englebreit stickers. I embossed this background with a Spellbinders M-bossibilities folder and then rubbed white ink over the embossing.

Foiled Background

I had these foiled backgrounds that I had made and I wanted to use them up. I also had these sentiments pre-made, and also the punched decorative strip. I had done the foiling with rainbow foil. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things and the panel is popped up with foam squares.

On this card, I added some Washi tape and a Gina K sentiment.

Five More Sticker Cards

I've had these stickers for many, many years. I made these simple cards with them. The stickers themselves are white with lines around the edge. The sentiment on this card is from Stampin' Up! I colored the image with Copic markers.

I matted this panel with white and added it to a card base. The sentiment is from Avery Elle.

The embossing was done with a Darice folder.

More Stickers

Using up some more stickers. I already tossed the packaging, so I don't know who these were from. I added the stickers to scraps of white cardstock and then matted them with black and added them to a card front. Then I added the sentiments, which are all from Gina K. Another package of stickers used up. I really don't have very many left. Yippee!! These stickers do have some dimension.

Birthday Daisies

Another card using up some stickers. I made four of these cards. The daisy stickers were from Martha Stewart. I embossed the bottom with an Anna Griffin folder from Cuttlebug. I also added a couple embossed lines with my Scor-Pal and then drew black lines on them for emphasis. I stamped the sentiment, from Bo Bunny, before embossing. Added a matting layer of yellow and called it done.
