Flowery Congrats and Anniversary

When I get 50% off at Michael's, I have a tendency to buy another 12 x 12 stack of patterned paper. Then I tear out the sheets, cut up the ones that require cutting, and put everything away to hopefully be used some day! I have SO much! Well, these two cards were made from one of those stacks. I cut around the tops of these two pieces and popped them upon to card fronts. The sentiments are from my card parts and have been foiled with my Glimmer Hot Foil system. They are also popped up on foam squares.

May Calendar Page

Well, May snuck up on me, for sure! Here is my calendar page for the month. The stamp is from Stampendous and I colored it with Copic markers. The patterned paper is from an ancient matstack from Recollections. I really like using that stuff on my calendar pages because it is so thin and the pages fit nicely into the frame. Happy May Day to all!!

I hope everyone is doing well. I am doing well, just busy with so many other things and hardly any time in my stamping room. I am considering a huge project, though. My stamping room does not have a window. We have a guest bedroom that rarely gets used. I'm thinking of switching them around. I would love a window, but I do also love the arrangement of my current room. I've been making diagrams and trying to figure out how it would work out, and it seems as though it might be okay. I guess I'll think about it more and make my decision soon. Wish me luck! :-)

Wishing You Strength

The main panel on this card was a scrap from my SCT class. I thought it was kind of cool and wanted to use it for something. So I added the sentiment (from Recollections) and matted it with black. The background was embossed with a Sizzix folder.

SCT Card Class - Altenew

It's fun to be a little bit caught up and have time in my stamping room - it feels great. These cards are from my SCT card class from Altenew. The inks and markers they used on the cards were supplied by other companies - OLO and Concord and 9th.

Hard to tell in the photo, but this first one was embossed in gold powder. It was colored with the OLO markers. I added some Nuvo drops. The panels on all three cards were mounted on foam squares.

On this one and the third one, I used silver embossing powder. (The same image was used on all three cards.) There is white ink-splattering and also some pewter Liquid Pearls.

I didn't get the images close enough together to use the sentiment that they used in the card class, so I found a large one from Recollections to use. This card  was watercolored with the Concord and 9th inks. Again, I added Nuvo drops.

Encouragement Card?

The image for this card was an extra one I had after making my calendar pages. I fussy-cut it out and popped it up on foam squares. It is from My Favorite Things, as is the sentiment. I colored it with my old Stampin' Up! chalks, but then I added a little extra coloring with Prismacolor pencils. The patterned paper is from a matstack from Recollections.

Mass Production #2

I made twelve of this card, and my Christmas cards for the year are complete.

The image is from an old rubber stamp set from Recollections. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn. They are both embossed with gold embossing powder. The image panel is mounted on foam squares.

It feels great to have the cards done. I have the labels ready to print, also, but want to make sure there are no changes in the next month and a half.

I am busy going through stuff in the cedar chest and some old photos of ours. We are planning a 50th anniversary party for us (well, mostly our kids are doing the planning) and it's only three and a half weeks away. That time will go so fast! Then I have a whole list of things to get done that are not short projects. I'm still hoping to get some more cards done from my card class, but they will wait.

October Calendar Page

Oops, I almost forgot to do my calendar page post for today!! I can't believe it's October, and our weather certainly doesn't say October!! At any rate, here is my calendar page for the month. It's very "retro" as the stamp and the paper are very, very ancient. The stamp is a wood-mounted one from the dollar bin at Michael's (remember those?) and the paper is also from Recollections. The image is just very simply colored with Copic markers.

I am still working on my card class cards, but I guess I can start sharing them, since the class is over. I think there were over sixteen classes and I'm not quite half done. Hopefully soon I will take some pictures and post them on my blog. I should share more vacation photos, too. So much to do, so little time. And it's still golf weather!

Christmas - Patterned Paper

Super simple Christmas card. I still had three sheets of this patterned paper. I used one of the sheets to make six cards. Only two more sheets to go. LOL! I sponged the edges of the patterned paper, which is from Recollections. I sponged the edges of the sentiment panel, also. I added sequins from Gina K scattered around the background in the snowflake centers, and also three more on the sentiment panel.

May Calendar Page

My calendar page for May. The stamped flowers are from Image Tree and I colored them with Copic markers. The patterned paper is from a very old matstack from Recollections. I really like using it on my calendar pages because it's paper and therefore thin so my page still fits in my calendar holder.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day, Friends!! I hope you all have someone special to share your day with. Here is a valentine I made for a friend. I used a die for the line of hearts across the bottom and also the main focal point. I used glitter paper for that and also under the row of hearts. I stamped the sentiment, from a Recollections set, and then embossed with a Darice folder. I added "nail heads" to the circles on the die-cut. The whole main panel is mounted on foam squares.

Grandkids' Valentines

I got out all of my valentines things to make some cards, and then I ended up making one sort of special and four extremely basic and the same! Oh well. The grandkids will be fine with them. I did do a little bit more die-cutting so maybe I'll make some anniversary cards out of those pieces.

This first card is for our one granddaughter. The heart was done with a Spellbinders die, backed with glitter paper. That panel is raised on foam squares. The embossing was done with a Darice folder. I added some sparkly enamel dots. The sentiment is from the same Recollections set as I used on the second card.

This one was done with two embossing folders and a stamp from a Recollections set from several years ago. I added three tiny "nailheads." I made four of these for the grandsons.

Six More Fall Cards

I finally had some time to spend in my stamping room this week. I made several cards with stickers which I will be sharing starting tomorrow. But, after I took the pictures and went to crop them for blog posts, I found these cards on the camera card, too! I thought I had blogged them all. These all use the same patterned paper from Recollections that I used recently. I have put the paper away for awhile again. :-)

More Fall Birthdays

These cards are both 3 1/2 x 6 3/8 - made to fit in some envelopes that I have a lot of! The papers are all from Recollections. The sentiments are gold embossed. I added some tiny flowers and gold brads to the second card. The second card also has some gold metallic strips along the edges. I made three of each of these cards.

Fall Birthday

I'm back to working on a matstack of patterned paper that I got in January. Plus, I had stamped this leaf and gold embossed it back then, too. I gold embossed the sentiment, matted that panel with black, popped up the leaf and added some sequins.

Just For You

While browsing through my stamps, I came across this set, so I made this card. Then, while writing this post, I had to look through my stamps again to see who the set was from. I found I have at least three sets with mason jars and covers! Oops. This one is from Recollections. The set includes the dies. I used a die to cut the cover. It's popped up with foam squares. I colored with very light Copic markers. I embossed the white layer with an old Cuttlebug folder and trimmed it down.

Thanksgiving and Fall Birthday

Two more fall cards - a birthday and a Thanksgiving. I used the matstack from Michael's again. I fussy cut out the two pieces that are along the bottom of each card. They started out on opposite corners. I added them to a piece of solid color cardstock and matted them. On the top card I added some foam squares to the leaves that overlap. I gold heat embossed the sentiments. The top one is from Hero Arts and the bottom one is from Stampendous. I also added a few sequins on the second card.

Fall Birthday

For some reason, Michael's gave me a $5 gift card. So, of course I had to spend it. I hadn't been in a Michael's for quite a long time. I found a 12 x 12 matstack that was on sale for $4.99. Perfect! They didn't even charge me tax on it. It had many pretty fall patterns in it, plus some solid colors. The piece I used on this card was part of a "cut-apart" sheet. This particular section was the area outside the gold foil. Inside the gold foil frame were some gold lines - perhaps for journaling?? At any rate, I carefully cut the lined section out. Then I found a patterned sheet in the matstack that I liked in the center. I foiled a piece of ivory cardstock with gold, creating the sentiment which I popped up on foam squares.

More Christmas Cards???

Well, here are two more Christmas cards. I came across this embossing folders/stamps set and just had to use them again. The set is from Recollections. Quite simple - embossed backgrounds and stamped images/sentiment. I also added a couple Nuvo drops on each cards.
