Die-Cut best wishes

NBUS
I bought a few items from Altenew from a local paper store, and I'm finally starting to use them. This die is one of them. I cut it from white. Then I used a yellow-orange piece of cardstock to put behind it. I decided to add two colors of darker orange to it with a brush - in two corners and across the middle. Hard to tell in the picture, but it's really there! :) I matted with black. The sentiment is from a new Altenew set. I also added "pearls" with a Viva Perler Pen to the three rows that look like flowers - the top, middle and bottom rows.

I'm linking this up to the NBUS challenge, found here.

Heat Embossing with a Stencil

I made this card for the CAS Mix-Up challenge - using stencils and heat embossing. My stencil is a NBUS from Penny Black. The sentiment is also NBUS from Altenew.
I first used the stencil with Versamark and turquoise embossing powder. Then I rotated the stencil and used a brush and ink for the purple. I die-cut the panel and used white ribbon colored with a Copic marker.

Die-Cut Foil Flowers

Another new die, so I'm linking up to Darnell's NBUS Challenge #12 again (Never Before Used Schtuff.)

I used the die to cut out of white and three colors of foil. I added the colored pieces to the white. It's kind of hard to see the shine in the picture. I matted with green foil. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Time

Another card for Darnell's NBUS challenge #12 (Never Before Used Schtuff.) The new items are dies again - the clock with gears and the stitched circles.

I love this time piece. I thought it would go well with kraft and red. I cut the circles with my new stitched circle dies out of red and white. I didn't know what sentiment I should use, because it just didn't seem quite right for a birthday, which is what I usually make. I remembered that I had a "Time" set from My Favorite Things. That worked. I stamped it with Versamark and embossed with detail white powder.

Fall-To Layout 36 - Take Two

I made this card for Natasha's Fall-to Layout #36, Take Two. I'm also entering it into Darnell's NBUS challenge #12 (Never Before Used Schtuff.)  The new items are all dies - the teddy bear, the stitched circle, and the "holey" circles. (I see when I was linking up the blog post that I got the sketch a tad wrong, but I think it will be fine.)

It was so great to be back into my stamping room! A few new dies were delivered while we were staying at our son's house. I finally got a chance to use them. I cut the teddy bear out of kraft. I tried brayering a light brown onto the raised areas, but I got ink in the depressed areas, too. So, I just sponged more ink over the whole thing. I added black "nail heads" to his eyes. (Gosh, that sounds painful! I swear I did it gently.) I had cut the circle out of red with my new stitched circle dies. Then I used the die with holes to die cut inside the stitched circle. I added the teddy bear to the circle and mounted the circle on foam squares. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. The patterned paper is very, very old. I matted both layers with black.

Ornament Christmas Cards

While searching for a small "Merry Christmas" stamp, I came across these stamps and dies from My Favorite Things. I've had them for a couple years and have never used them. I thought it was about time. AND, since they had not been used by me, they are NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff) and therefore qualified for Darnell's NBUS challenge! Please follow the link for details.

Both cards are the same, except the ornaments have different patterns and are different shapes. I stamped the ornament patterns on red cardstock with Versamark, then used detail gold embossing powder on them and cut them out with dies. There was a die in the set to cut the ornament tops, too, and I did them out of shimmery gold paper. I used some mini brads and some gold cord to finish them off. The sentiment is embossed with gold, also. I matted the entire panel with the same shimmery gold paper.

Curvy Verses - and NBUS CASology

I again used my Stampin' Up! set called "Curvy Verses." It consists of eight stamps, but I decided to not "make" myself use all of my sentiment stamps - just the image ones. So, I'm done with this one after using three of the eight:)

I stamped the cute little bunny (NBUS) from Inkadinkado on pink dotted paper and cut it out. I added a little bit of color with a Copic marker, but I can't even see it in the picture. I mounted it on foam squares. I stamped the sentiment on some matching pink paper with a pre-printed border and added the bunny. The background was embossed with a Darice (NBUS) embossing folder and matted with the same pink.

I am entering this card into two challenges. One is Darnell's NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff) and also the CASology challenge with the keyword "NBUS."
