Happy Halloween

A couple quick Halloween cards for the grandkids. I also made another one like I had made previously. Since they're for two families, I can go with duplicates:)

This first one is for our one granddaughter. I used House Mouse stamps from The Paper Studio. I stamped the image with Memento black ink and colored with copics. I matted with black, mounted on foam squares and added Stardust Stickles to the wings. I colored the sentiment with markers.
I used a Stampin' Up! stamp and SU punches for this tag. I colored the spider and added googlie eyes and mounted on foam squares. The patterned papers are from a Recollections pad.

October Calendar Page

Gosh - I almost forgot to post my calendar page today! I seem to have misplaced the list I so carefully made of the "ingredients" of my pages, so I had to figure it out this morning. Sure hope I find the list before next month, because I used a digital image for November and I need to figure out where it came from!

If you would like to make your own calendar pages, please feel free to use my files. You can find the links at the top of my page - under the blog title. I'd love to hear from you if you choose to use them! For this page, I used The Paper Studios House Mouse stamp and colored with Prismacolor pencils and probably used Goo Gone. I need to do that more! I matted with black shimmery paper. The sentiment is Halloween Cobwebs from Repeat Impressions.

House Mouse Halloween

Happy Halloween to all! Today I'm sharing the cards I made for two of my grandchildren. The third one received (hopefully today!) this one - except I added Stickles to the faces.

For this first one - and the second one, too, actually - I used House Mouse stamps for both the image and the "BOO." I colored the cute little image with Copic markers. The image and matting were cut with Spellbinders dies. The image panel is mounted on Dimensionals.
For the black panel on this second one, I applied white ink to a Fiskars texture plate, just by tapping the ink pad on the plate. Then I embossed the black cardstock and matted with Tangerine Tango from Stampin' Up! Once again, the image and matting were cut with Spellbinders dies. Both the image panel and sentiment panel are mounted on Dimensionals.

There is a new Stamp of the Week from Repeat Impressions, too. This week it's the Tombstone, found on this page. It's available for 50% off by visiting the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built, and following the instructions found there. You will also find the creations by some of the Rock Stars. We'd also love to have your join our challenges - both the WHAT IF? Wednesday sketch and the Designer's Choice Challenge (my "recipe!") See the blog for details and join in the fun for a chance to win a great prize.

Happy Halloween!!

These are the cards I made for our grandson and granddaughter.  Pretty simple - I was running out of time and had to get them in the mail!

The stamps are mostly from a clear House Mouse set.  I stamped them in black and colored them with Prismacolor pencils and used GooGone with them instead of Gamsol.  I cut them with Nestabilities.  I added Stickles and scoring on the top one, and black gems for eyes and patterned paper on the bottom one.  I also stamped the "BOO! on the background paper.  The sentiment for the top one is from Repeat Impressions.

For Baby

This card is for our daughter-in-law.  I am going to a shower for her this morning.  How fun!  Less than two months now til the arrival of our third grandchild:)

This image was in my "card parts" box.  I had stamped it and colored it over two years ago when our Yahoo! group met in Des Moines.  At that point, there weren't many Copics there.  However, we were each given one Copic marker, donated by a stamping company.  (I don't even remember who that was.)  (EDITED TO ADD:  The markers were given to us by Maryann Walker of I Like Markers.  Thanks for the info, Sheri!)  I used the limited Copics there to color this cute House Mouse image.  So all I had to do was cut the image and the mat using Nestabilities.  The patterned paper is from a stack from Deja Views that I purchased at Archiver's a while ago.  The "for" is part of a stamp from a Stampin' Up! set.

House Mouse Birthday Wishes

Another simple card to share with you today.  One of these days I'm going to get some stamping time!

This House Mouse stamp is called "Just Dandy" (and is available from 2RedBananas.)  I colored it with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with Gamsol.  I matted the image on black and added a couple brads and some Stickles on the dandelion.  The sentiment is from Gina K's Elegant Post set.

House Mouse Anniversary

A "cutesy" card for you today:)  I haven't had time to stamp the last few days, so I had to look through my card stash and see what I hadn't shared yet.

I stamped the House Mouse stamp with Versafine Onyx Black ink and colored it with Prismacolor pencils and blended with Gamsol.  I cut the image out with a Deckled Rectangle Nestability (available at 2RedBananas) then trimmed the left edge.  It's matted with a textured green that came in a scrap pack from Target a while back.  The sentiment is from Gina K's Elegant Post set.  The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punching using SU! cardstock.

2RedBananas Challenge - Stripes and Dots

This card is for this week's 2RedBananas challenge - to use stripes and dots. You can find the challenge here. Why don't you join us? :)

I colored the cute little House Mouse with Stampin' Up! ink pads and a wet paint brush. I cut the image in a rectangle, but left his tail sticking out a bit. The papers are from a Summer Matstack by Die Cuts With a View. The "photo corners" are punched with a punch by Stampin' Up! I matted everything with a textured red paper.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Multiple-Challenge Card

First off, I have to link you to a blog post by Barb that really made my day. Check this out. I can’t believe she wrote that post – thank you SO MUCH, Barb!! Your cards and your blog are wonderful!!! (And there is still time to enter to win her blog candy:) )

Today’s card is for three SplitCoastStampers Dirty Dozen challenges, as well as the House Mouse challenge. The House Mouse challenge can be found
here. It is to use only white except for the coloring of the House Mouse image. The SCS Dare to Get Dirty challenges that I participated in are: a sketch challenge, a challenge to use wings (the challenger was NOT expecting to see a mouse show up in this category!), and the challenge to use punches and die cuts. My House Mouse stamp is actually a Halloween stamp, but I left off the pumpkin. I colored it with Stampin’ Up! markers, one Copic marker and a couple Prismacolor pencils. I cut it out and embossed it with a circle Nestability. The matting layer is also cut with a Nestability and embossed with a Cuttlebug folder – Bubbles. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the border at the bottom of the horizontal panel, and scored some lines with my Scor-Pal. The bottom layer is embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder. I almost intentionally “forgot” the three items to the upper left of the image on the sketch, but I decided the tiny punched flowers would work. I added tiny pearls to their centers. I was trying to figure out how to pop them up. There was no way I could cut Pop Dots to fit those itty-bitty things! I figured seed beads might be a good solution. I glued a seed bead to the bottom of each of the flowers and then glued them on to the card base. The flower on the right is from the wedding section at Michael’s and also has a pearl center. I added Star Dust Stickles to the wings. They had to sparkle, of course! As I was uploading I realized that I made a mistake and the round layer under the main image was supposed to be a semi-circle. That would have looked very nice, but I wasn’t going to remake it!

House Mouse Sketch Challenge

Another challenge card – three days in a row! This one is not for SplitCoastStampers, though, but a House Mouse Sketch Challenge, sponsored this week by 2RedBananas. You can find the sketch here.

I don’t own any House Mouse stamps, but I had a couple stamp-offs of one, and one was already even colored. I colored it at our “Group Gathering” last June. Someone had brought some Copic markers, and I used them. Last year there were not a whole lot of Copics, but this year I think there will be a LOT!

So, back to the card. I cut and embossed the main image with a plain circle Nestability. I knew the ribbon would be covering up part of the bottom, so I made sure to cut the image as close to the top as I could. The scalloped layer and the bottom layer are pink shimmery paper. The bottom panel is embossed with a Cuttlebug Dotted Swiss folder and the top panel is done with the Distressed Stripes folder. The “make a wish” stamp is from Studio G and it’s stamped with Stampin’ Up!’s Garden Green. The pearls are from the dollar spot at Target.

Thanks so much for looking, and I hope you’ll come back and visit again soon!
