Simple Flowers

A while back, Susan posted some cards using this set and another, both from Gina K. I loved them and I had to have the sets. So, when Gina had her 25% off sale on the Fourth of July, I ordered them, along with some other things.

For this first one, I used an ancient Martha Stewart border punch on the matting piece, and the panel is popped up on foam squares.

For this one, I used a Gina K embossing folder on the green piece and matted both panel with black, again popping up the image panel.

For these last two, I simply matted the image panels and attached them directly to the card base.

You will see the other set soon, I hope!

Flowery Birthday

Another card like yesterday's, but this time not a Christmas card. The paper and ephemera are from Gina K. The sentiment is stickers from ElizabethCraft. I added some Martha Stewart gems.

Thinking of You Butterflies

Another card made with a card part using the same punch as Wednesday's card. I had ink blended the color over it. I scored lines on the unpunched part and added the sentiment. I also added a couple butterfly stickers.

Holiday Wishes

I still pick out pieces from my card parts now and then, but not often enough. But, I guess I just don't have enough time in my stamping room! I had used an edge punch from Martha Stewart to punch both sides of a piece of 5.5 x 4.25 inch cardstock, leaving the middle intact. This is the piece that was in my card parts. The snowflakes and sentiment were also from my card parts. I added a strip of lightly patterned paper on the inside edges of the punching. The sentiment and the snowflakes, all from Gina K, were embossed with silver and die-cut. Another Christmas card done. I know it's early, but I do wish I had more of them done.

Anniversary in Purple

And one more simple card before I'm probably gone for a long time again! I really need to get my calendars done, and at least I have made some progress with them in the past few days. I cut the bottom layer of this card with a Spellbinders die. The heart (and tiny dots) was done with a Martha Stewart punch, with purple cardstock underneath. That panel is mounted on foam squares. The sentiment is from Gina K.

Punches and Versamark Stamping

I was looking for a punch one day a few weeks ago and found some punches that I took out to use "at a later date." Well, here are two cards that I made with my pieces. I have a few more pieces, but I don't know when I'll get to using them on cards. We're going to be very busy for about a month. Both punches are from Martha Stewart and are many years old. And, on both cards, I used background stamps and Versamark ink. The sentiment on this first one is popped up with foam squares.

I'm pretty sure that this sentiment stamp is from Gina K.

Thanks

Another Martha Stewart punch was used for this card. I added scored lines to it, matted it and popped it up with foam squares. The frame around it was embossed with a Nestabilities die.

Foiled Anniversary Roses

More foiiled pieces using my Glimmer system. I colored this one with Copic markers. The matting has edges punched with an old Martha Stewart punch. (I have a few punches out on my table, waiting to be used.) I added a scored line on the bottom and the top. The sentiment was printed on my computer and foiled with foil and a laminator. I added several sequins of various sizes.

This one is made with the negative of the first card.

Vellum Flowers

Oops - I've this card, and two more for tomorrow, done for a while, but I forgot to do posts about them. Oh well - I've had nothing else to post anyway! These flowers, dots and leaves are all vellum flowers in a package from Martha Stewart that I've had for many years. The rest of them are ready to be given away. I glued them each down and added a popped-up sentiment from Gina K.

Cheery Daisy Thinking of You

The die-cut piece was in my card parts book. I added the dotted yellow paper underneath it. The daisy chain is from Martha Stewart. I scored lines above and below the daisies with my Scor-Pal. The sentiment is from Hero Arts This one is going to a friend who is recovering from a heart attack.

Note Card Sets

I came across a package of Martha Stewart blank notecards with envelopes in my "stash." There were originally 48 and I still had 47 of them. So, I decided to make up a few card sets for the thrift store that my friend, Cheryl, volunteers at. These notecards are 4 3/4 x 3 1/4 inches. They are all super-simple. I did five sets of eight and one set of five. I messed up a couple of them while I was working things out.

This first one uses stamps from Papertrey Ink.
This one uses a stamp from My Favorite Things and a multicolor ink pad, along with a Thank You stamp.
Both of the stamps on this card are from Gina K, and I added Liquid Pearls to the flower centers.
The leafy stamp is from Gina K and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up!
And two more sets the same as the third card, but different colors.

Ladybug Hello

I decided to use one of my many Martha Stewart punches. They just don't get used anymore - out of sight, out of mind. I need to make them more visible! The ladybugs were punched with one of them. I added some polka dotted paper and a die-cut sentiment. The sentiment is three layers, with the top layer being silver metallic cardstock.

Glittery Balloons

I had fun with glitter for a few days. Here is one of the cards I made with it. I had a small piece of cardstock left over that had double sided sticky paper on it, so I used it to die-cut the balloons. Then I added Martha Stewart glitter to them in various colors. I added the strings with a fine-tip marker and matted with black. The die was in my card parts book.

Card Part in Periwinkle

This periwinkle piece was in with my card parts and I decided I either had to use it right away or toss it. Here it is:) Just a small piece of textured cardstock with a punched border, but it worked. I cut a piece of off-white cardstock to fit it and I stamped with Technique Tuesday stamps. I mounted the panel on foam squares. The embossed background was also from my card parts. The card base and embossed panel are off-white.

Daisy, Daisy, Daisies

Well, I finished off my years-old package of Martha Stewart daisy stickers. Yippee! :) All three of these use the same stamp from Gina K for the stems and leaves. I just didn't ink up the flowers. They all use birthday sentiment stickers. I used patterned paper on a couple of them. Daisies make me happy.

Padded Butterfly Hello

As much as I'm trying to use up card parts, I still make a few more along the way. :) I cut this circle for a template for cutting out stamped circles that I had, and of course I couldn't throw it away! So, I inked it up with some Gina K ink to match a piece of paper that I got from a friend in Ankeny last year. (Thanks, Vicki, for those little packs of paper!) The butterfly and the ribbon were on my table. The butterfly is the last one from a package from Martha Stewart.

Purple Sparkle Anniversary

I got this punch out recently for a "punch" challenge and thought I should use it again. It's an "anywhere" punch from Martha Stewart. I punched it three times in a row - easy to line up. I matted it with purple glitter cardstock. The sentiment stamps are from Papertrey Ink.

Anniversary Heart

As I visited a few blogs last week, I took a couple notes of what I wanted to do. I haven't done a challenge for quite a while and there were a couple that seemed interesting to me. So, here is my card for those challenges. The first challenge is: Let's Craft and Create Challenge #160. This challenge is to use a punch. My punch is an "anywhere" punch from Martha Stewart. It's been so long since I've used it, I had to look on-line and see how to do it! :) The second challenge is CAS mixup. It is to use embossed vellum and stamping. I embossed my vellum with a Darice folder. My sentiment is popped up on foam squares and is from Hero Arts. I added a bit of twine, too.

Punched Border Birthday

Super Simple today. Sorry I forgot to "Publish" this one, so it's a little late. I punched this "chain" border years ago and ran it through my Xyron machine. It had been sitting in a box ever since. Believe me - I'm trying hard to use up those kinds of things! Some end up in the trash, but most get used. I also have a large stack of half-sheet cardstock. This blue/periwinkle sheet happened to be at the top:) I added the punched border, scored some lines with my Scor-Pal above and below it and stamped the sentiment, from Technique Tuesday, with Versamark ink. I used clear embossing powder on the sentiment, as well.

Masculine and Butterfly Birthday

These two cards are related, so you get them both today:) The old car stamp on this card is from a Tim Holtz set. The plain paper on the bottom and the patterned paper on the top are both from a 7 Gypsies pad I got at Archiver's several years ago. The sentiment is a Mrs. Grossman's sticker placed on the patterned paper. The tiny strip above it is the same paper, also. I added a thin strip of ivory cardstock between the papers.

The butterfly on this second card is the last one I have from Martha Stewart. I think the sentiment is from Stampendous, but I'm not sure. The bottom pattern was stamped using an old Stampin' Up! background stamp. And I used a little bit more ribbon.
