Embossed Thanks - and a Last Chance at a Great Prize

This is a card I made using products available from the Creating Everlasting Memories eBay store.  They are closed through today, and will re-open tonight at 12:01 a.m.  (I'm assuming that's PDT, but that's only a guess!)  The embossing folder, the frame die, and the dragonfly die are all from there and are all from Lifestyle Crafts, formerly Quickutz.


I did a simple little pictorial tutorial, which is posted on the CEM blog, Creating Memories In Time.  I brayered ink onto the embossing folder before embossing.  The ink I used is Kiwi Kiss from Stampin’ Up! I also used Kiwi Kiss cardstock for my matting. The sentiment is from Studio G, stamped in Kiwi Kiss. I cut it with a Lifestyles doodle frames die #DT0095. The outer frame is also Kiwi Kiss. I used Dragonfly #KS0615 die to cut the body of the dragonfly from black cardstock and the wings from vellum.

Elegant Birthday

Just a quick post of an (for me!) elegant card!  It's still very simple, but the gold adds the elegance, I guess:)

The stamps I used are from Kanban called Cavendish Ladies - Day at the Races - and are available in the Creating Everlasting Memories store here.  I stamped them with Versamark and embossed them with gold.  I matted with shimmery gold paper.  The background paper is also from Kanban.  The strip across the bottom is punched with a Martha Stewart punch called Double Link Trim.  There are lots of Kanban and Martha Stewart products available from CEM, also.  I wish you could see the shiny gold on this card, but alas, it doesn't photograph well.

Happy Birthday, Georgia!

 

A birthday card for my friend, Georgia, whose birthday was yesterday.  I hope the card arrived!

I cut the Butterflies using a butterfly border die and Die Cuts With a View "sparkly" cardstock.  I brayered dark green ink on the Quickutz Leaves embossing folder, then embossed a lighter green cardstock with it.   I used my Scor-Pal to emboss lines on the card base.  I mounted the butterflies to the green strip with foam squares.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Happy Birthday, Joanne!

Yesterday was my friend, Joanne's, birthday.  This is the card I made for her.

I started with a piece of yellow cardstock from a Sizzix matstack.  I cut the flowers with a  Pop Up Flower die from Lifestyle Crafts. I put small pieces of foam squares under each petal to make sure they stayed popped up.  I glued it on to the textured brown cardstock and added buttons (from Papertrey Ink) to the centers of the flowers. I glued the panel to Kraft card base (also from PTI). The sentiment is from Impression Obsession and is stamped in brown ink.

Here is the card I made.  I used a Lifestyle Crafts (formerly Quickutz) alphabet called Dragonfly. I covered the letters with Star Dust Stickles.  I embossed the yellow piece with a Scallops embossing folder, scored the lines with my Scor-Pal and added the pearls.  I matted with blue cardstock.  The background paper is from a Sizzix stack.
