Repeat Impressions Designer's Choice Challenge - Flowers

Today starts a new Repeat Impressions Designer's Choice Challenge. One of the Rock Stars chooses the theme and the others create their masterpieces. Today's challenge was chosen by ME, and I hope no one finds it to be too much of a challenge so that there are LOTS of entries! The theme for today's challenge is to use flowers. For my card, I started with the embossed background. Harriet brought the folder (by Sizzix) to my house in June at my request, and I embossed a few of them to have on hand. I love the look of white on white, so that's what I went with. The flowers are Morning Glories, and can be found on this page. I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copic markers. I cut the oval with a Nestability and sponged with light yellow before removing from the die. I matted with white, cut with a scalloped oval Nestability. The image panel is mounted on Pop Dots. The sentiment can be found on this page. For my card, I stamped it in a straight line, rather than in two lines as it comes.

Repeat Impressions Designer's Choice Challenge - Scoring

For my card, I started with the Noel stamp, available on this page. I stamped it on my main panel and also on a piece of scrap cardstock. From the scrap piece, I colored the poinsettia and cut out the letter O and mounted it on Pop Dots. I added Stickles to it for some sparkle. I used my Scor-Buddy to score the pattern around the edge. I matted with red. I'm submitting this card to the Christmas Card Challenges blog, too. It's been a while since I've made a Christmas card!

Repeat Impressions Designer's Choice Challenge - Purple and Green

Today's Designer's Choice Challenge from Repeat Impressions was chosen by me! It has nothing to do with Independence Day, but I hope everyone in the US is enjoying their holiday. I used a stamp from the new series called Beautiful Days. The stamp I used is called Hydrangea. You can find it, along with the other new stamps on this page. I paper-pieced the flowers and the leaves. I colored the stem and the bee. I added some Stickles to the little bee's wings. The papers are from my favorite Recollections matstack.

My card features the Sand Castle stamp, found on this page. I colored it lightly with Copic markers and added a little shimmer with a Spica glitter pen. (Repeat Impressions has these pens available on their website, here.) My card base is Papertrey Ink's kraft cardstock and I matted with some Stampin' Up! cardstock (Soft Suede) and then mounted on Pop Dots. I hand wrote the sentiment - to match the theme, or so I was thinking. :) We'd love to have you join us!

For my card, I used two of the tiny bird images. (You can find them both on this page.) I colored them with Copics and punched them with a Martha Stewart punch. I mounted them on rounded-corner squares cut with a die from Papertrey Ink and matted them with black. I mounted the entire panel on Pop Dots. The sentiment is part of a stamp found on this page. I matted that with black also and mounted on Pop Dots. The background paper is from a matstack from Recollections.

For my card, I used a Cuttlebug folder for the embossing. I used Birthday Cupcake, available on this page, for my image. I colored with Copics and used Stickles on the frosting. My punch is the tiny flower, to which I added tiny gems. The sentiment is from Repeat Impressions - I stamped it in a straight line instead of two lines, like it comes. I matted with Pale Plum cardstock from Stampin' Up!

I went with a yummy card today:) I used two stamps from the Summer Series. You can find them on this page. I paper-pieced all the ice cream treats. I matted with pink and added patterned paper (from Recollections) to the card base.

I used the Repeat Impressions stamp called Wild Violets, found on this page. I colored with Copics. The sentiment is from Repeat Impressions, also. My patterned paper is from the same matstack from Recollections that I've been using lately. (I've found I've been using purple a LOT lately! There will be another tomorrow, too.) I matted the image and sentiment after I scored some lines beneath each of them. I also added ribbon to the flowers panel. The butterflies were punched with a Martha Stewart punch. I added pearls to the flowers and butterflies.

For my card, I chose to keep it simple. What else is new! :) I stamped the Tulip Bouquet, found on this page, on watercolor paper and painted with Stampin' Up! inks. The sentiment is also from Repeat Impressions, of course, and can be found on this page. I matted with Always Artichoke cardstock from SU! I punched the bottom with a border punch from SU! and scored three lines with my Martha Stewart scoring tool. The card base is Very Vanilla to match the watercolor paper.

Repeat Impressions - Designer's Choice Challenge Pastel Spring Card

I used the Vase of Tulips stamp. I paper-pieced the tulips and the vase and colored the stems and leaves. I cut it with a Spellbinders die and sponged the inside before removing the die. I added pearls to the "bumps." I matted with black after punching the corners with a Fiskars corner punch. I used the same paper for the bottom layer as the tulips and matted that with black, also. The sentiment is from Repeat Impressions.

For my card, I started out by stamping the Large Butterfly Silhouette, found here, with a Spectrum pigment ink pad and embossing with a clear embossing powder. I added the Lightning Bugs, found here, with black. I matted the background panel with black. The sentiment is matted with black, also, and mounted on Dimensionals. For my card, I used four Repeat Impressions stamps: Winter Tree, Mountain Vista, Deer Family Silhouette and Thinking of You. I stamped them all with Versafine Vintage Sepia ink on shimmery off-white paper. I matted with brown and used a vanilla card base.

My card uses the stamp called Baby, found on this page. I paper-pieced the sleeper with paper from Deja Views and colored with Copics and a Soft Suede Stampin' Up! marker. I used the same patterned paper for the bottom layer and matted both with Soft Suede cardstock from Stampin' Up! The sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede also, and is, of course, from Repeat Impressions.

I thought this sentiment and the chair would be perfect for a book mark.  I paper pieced the chair with some paper from Deja Views and colored the trim and legs. I stamped the sentiment on some textured, very shimmery cardstock. I scored a couple lines and added a bit of flowered paper from the same tablet of paper. I matted with the same flowery paper and then used a plain brown for the bottom layer. A fun and easy challenge - I hope you'll join us!

My card, of course, uses Repeat Impressions stamps. I stamped the images and sentiment with a JoAnn's metallic ink pad. I embossed the tree and sentiment with clear embossing powder. The sentiment and image were cut with Nestabilities dies. The image and sentiment are mounted on Dimensionals. I rubbed the ink pad around the edge of the stamped background piece.

For my card, I used the Hugs FLIP set, found on this page. I colored the images with Copic markers. The "fall" portion of it is in the patterned paper:) It's from an old tablet by Fiskars. I used an ivory base and Kraft for the trim pieces. The mattings are a dark olive green. I used buttons and twine for accent and for pulling open the card.

For my card, I used: image - 3805-J Winter's Eve, sentiment - 1141-F Christmas, die cuts - Lacey Squares and Fancy Tags, embellishments - Stickles, pearls, star (flower?) brad. I stamped my image with Stampin' Up!'s Brocade Blue, and the matting is also Brocade Blue. I used Stickles on the white area of the image. I embossed a piece of white for the right side of the card with a Snowflakes Cuttlebug folder, and then added a thin strip of the same blue. I colored the pearls with a Copic marker to match the blue matting.

For my card, I went with a Fall theme. I used the Apple Basket stamp, found on this page. I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored using my new Bic markers. (More about them later.) The sentiment is also from Repeat Impressions and I stamped it with Chocolate Chip ink from Stampin' Up! My matting is Chocolate Chip. I cut the squares with Nestabilities - a plain square and a Lacey Square. The patterned paper is quite old and I believe it's from Fiskars. The card base, image panel and sentiment are all ivory.

Thanks to a "tip" from a member of my stamping group, I watched a video on Gina K about the Bic markers. I figured I had to check them out, and ended up getting a 36-pack from Staples for $15. They are alcohol-based, like Copics. I figured I can use them, but I can also let my grandchildren use them, once they start crafting with me:)

For my card, I started by stamping the deer (4221-K, Deer Family Silhouette) and the sentiment with black ink. I brayered the entire piece with More Mustard, then masked off the moon. I then brayered with various shades of brown, yellow and orange to finish off the background. I matted with black cardstock.
