Happy Mother's Day, All!

Another Mother's Day card I made - just because.  Alas, no one is receiving it, so I'll just say that it is for ALL of you - mothers or not!

The flower is the same one I used on yesterday's card - from Stampology.  (It looks a lot different when you can see the pretty patterned lines in it.)  I used Versamagic inks for both the flower and the stem.  The stem and leaves are from Papertrey's set called Wishing You.  I stitched on the button (probably also from PTI) using DMC floss.  I rubbed the green ink onto the edges and matted it with Old Olive cardstock.  The sentiment - from Verve - was stamped with Versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I then embossed the bottom layer with a Swiss Dots folder, a border folder, and my Scor-Pal.

Done - and Re-Done! (And a reminder)

I made this card for Susan's blog challenge from last week (on her blog Simplicity.)  She has started a weekly challenge to do a One-Layer Card and each week will have one requirement.  The requirement last week was to use glitter or flocking.  I chose glitter.  (This week's challenge is to use a punctuation stamp.  I have done one for that challenge, too, which I will share with you next week.  I have lots of cards to share!)

The flowers are stamped with my Essential Glue Pad with a stamp from Stampology, then glittered with some glitter from a Martha Stewart 24-pack.  (I had a 50% off coupon a couple weeks ago and HAD to use it.  Now I better keep using glitter!!  What was I thinking!)  I doodled the lines around the edges of the flowers and the flower centers and added Stickles to the centers.  The glittered lines around the edges are done using Scor-Tape.  Just put the tape down, remove the backing, and add your glitter.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.
This is the same card (different lighting, sorry.)  I thought it was lacking something.  I had another flower already stamped, glittered and cut out, so I added Pop Dots and put it on the card.  The butterfly (from Repeat Impressions) was stamped on scrap paper and also onto the card front.  I colored it with SU! markers and mounted it on Pop Dots.  I used a glue pen and clear glitter on it.  I think this is the card my mom is getting.  My mother-in-law's card has been done since my birthday!  See this post:)

I also want to remind you of Repeat Impressions sketch challenge, found here.  It's a great chance to win a $25 gift certificate for their awesome stamps!  Plus, it's a fun sketch!
