Purple and Green Thinking of You
A new card today. I haven't spent much time in my stamping room lately, but I do have this one to share. I used one of my new Altenew stamps. It's the dotted Swiss background. Not really sure why I got it, as I have lots of dotted paper, but I did. :) I stamped this background in green. (I also did a couple other backgrounds, but I haven't made them into cards yet. Into the "card parts" they go. They are both on black cardstock. One is embossed with white dots and the other is embossed with glittery embossing powder.) The background for the sentiment is from PSX. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! The butterfly is a punch from EK Success. I added a couple gems to the butterfly's body and three to the sentiment panel, and I added some Star Dust Stickles to the butterfly.

Hearts Anniversary
I finally had some time to spend in my stamping room again! I spent most of yesterday in there. I was again working on using up some pieces that I have handy, to get me moving. I had these die cuts done and ready to use, so I made these two cards. The first one will go to our niece and the second one will go into my "stash." I found a large pile of half-sheets of cardstock that I had gotten from somewhere, so I used two of the sheets for these cards. For this first one, I stamped the sentiment (from PSX) with Versamark and embossed it with detail white embossing powder. I added the dots in the hearts with a white gel pen. You can't see them, but I also added several lines towards the bottom with my ScorPal.
The card base on this one is gray, with tiny speckles. I stamped the sentiment with dark gray ink. I also added white hearts back into the pink openings. Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Floral Anniversary - Times Three
Finally - a blog post from me. It's been one thing after another, but I finally have some time for blogging. (Haven't had stamping time yet, though! These cards were done quite a while ago.) The flowers on these cards were all stamped at our June Gathering. I THINK the stamps are from Altenew, but I'm not sure. I used my MISTI for the flowers. The sentiment is an old stamp from PSX. For this first one, I added Wink of Stella to the flowers, and also to the leaves, I think.
I added a few Nuvo drops to this last card.

Happy Anniversary, Harriet and Bruce!
Today is my friend Harriet's anniversary. Happy Anniversary, Harriet and Bruce!
This is another of my new dies. The card is 3 1/2 x 6 3/8 inches. The patterned paper is from Recollections. The sentiment is an old PSX stamp. I mounted the sentiment panel on foam squares.
Edited to add: I would love to email you, Shirley, but I have no way of communicating with you. You are welcome to send me an email. My address is in the "View my complete profile" on the top right side of my blog under the "About Me" section. PS - I ordered this die from eBay.

Happy Anniversary, Kris! (And My Stamping Room)
This is the card I made for stamping group friend, Kris. Happy Anniversary to you and Ron! I made the second card first, but decided, even though I liked it, that it needed "a little bit more." So I made this top one.
My stamping room is done!!! We went out of town overnight Tuesday night and came back Wednesday, but I still finished putting it back together late Wednesday afternoon. I'm so excited about it! :) I have posts scheduled already for the next few days, but soon I will push them back a day and show you pictures of my completed room. I love it! There are some things that I need to "purge" but for now I just put everything back. I was going to reorganize, but I liked it the way it was.
Edited to add: The Sizzix/Hero Arts set that I used for the flowers is called "Frames with Sprigs." Here is a link to it on eBay in case you want to see what the set looks like.

Anniversary Poppy
Another card using the same Penny Black stamp set as a couple days ago. I stamped it on a previously-cut circle with "stitching," colored it with Copic markers and added black Stickles to the center. I used a Spellbinders die to cut the matting for it. The butterfly is also from the same set. I cut it out, leaving a white border around it, and mounted on Pop Dots. The sentiment is from PSX.

New Baby
My good friend from forever ago, Lucy, is the one that got me started with stamping. However, she quit shortly after I started:( She finally decided it was time to get rid of her stamping things. After a couple garage sales, she gave me her stamps that were leftover. This cute stamp was among the stamps I decided to keep. It's from PSX. Thanks, Lucy!
I stamped the image with Memento black ink and colored with Copics. I cut the colored image out with one of my Stitched Rectangles from Memory Box. I added Star Dust Stickles to the moon and star. I mounted the image on foam squares. The patterned paper is from Debbie Mumm. I cut it out with one of my other new Memory Box dies. I love these! The sentiment is from Hero Arts. I somehow managed to stamp the sentiment crooked, so I just went with it and added the image crooked, too! If asked about it, though, I would probably say it's at an angle so the baby won't fall off the moon! LOL!

Valentine #1
The first of at least five valentines I will be making. I'll make for the grandkids, then see if I have time for the "adult kids" and my husband!
The heart image on this card is from PSX, long retired. Such a pretty, delicate stamp. I stamped it on white, and then again on pink and red. I cut the hearts out of the pink and red, leaving the lace border off of the colored ones so that it shows on the white. I glued the colored hearts onto the white cardstock. I matted with red and mounted on foam squares. The pink background was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. The white layer was embossed with a Sixxix folder. I added some red and white ribbon to this white layer. This one is for our granddaughter.

Happy Anniversary, Annie and Ray!
This is the card I sent to a friend of mine in my stamping group. She should have received it by now, hopefully!
I started with stamping the image (from Penny Black) and coloring with Copic markers and adding Star Dust Stickles to the flower center. I stamped the lower flower twice. I cut out the entire image and also the single flower. I mounted the single flower on foam squares and mounted it on the full image, rotating it a bit so there would be more petals. Then I had no idea what I wanted to do with it! It took me a while to end up with this card. I ended up using a tri-fold card with a circle cut out of the front. I added printed vellum to the front, cutting out the same circle. I added a piece of cream vellum under the circle and stamped the sentiment (from PSX) and heat-embossed. I added the butterfly, which was cut with a Memory Box out of a velvety black paper.
Thanks for your prayers for my dad. He has decided to go with radiation. He had to have six teeth extracted first and still needs to meet with a GI doctor to have a swallowing issue addressed. If all goes well with that, he will begin his series of 33 treatments sometime in December. It will be pretty miserable, but he will get through it.

Fall Anniversary - and an Update
An anniversary card for Jim's brother and sister-in-law. We got married on their eleventh anniversary:) We will be celebrating our fortieth on Sunday!
You'll be seeing this main image again next fall. The images are from a set from Cloud 9. I used SU! Earth Elements inks to stamp them. First I had stamped the background (from Tattered Angels) with a soft Memories ink. I matted with shimmery gold and mounted on foam squares. The sentiment is one of my few anniversary stamps and is by PSX. I embossed it with detail gold embossing powder. The card base is ivory.
I actually had a little time in my stamping room last night. It was very nice! I cleaned it up a bit and also made my October calendar pages for next year. I was trying to come up with something for November, but couldn't. It will come to me:)
About my dad - He really, really wanted to make a trip to Colorado to visit my younger brother, so when my older brother flew up from Georgia, my dad asked him to drive out there with him. That's where they are now. My younger brother will ride home with them. They found more cancer in his neck and removed it on Monday. He will be meeting with the oncologist next Thursday to discuss radiation again. My dad has said he will not do it. We'll see what happens. It's spreading pretty fast now.

Doodle That - Part Two
This card uses the last stamp from the Stampin' Up! set called "Doodle That." I colored with Copics and added a tiny gem to the flower center. I cut the oval out with a Nestability and then embossed the piece with a Sizzix embossing folder, after stamping the sentiment. The sentiment stamp is from PSX. I mounted the entire embossed panel on foam squares.

Doodle That - Part One
Today's set is called "Doodle That." I stamped the background using one of the stamps and Mellow Moss ink. I stamped the flower in black and colored with markers. I matted both pieces with Mellow Moss cardstock and mounted the flower on foam squares. The sentiment is from PSX and is long-retired.
I used the little flower for this card, stamping it in black and coloring with blue and purple. I cut it with an oval Nestability and mounted on foam squares. The little sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Happy Anniversary, Lucy and David!
This card is for my good friend, Lucy and her husband, David, for their anniversary. It was actually yesterday, but I know she reads my blog every morning and I wanted her to see it in person before she saw it here. Hope it was a great day, Lucy! Lucy and I have been friends for ... way too many years to admit to here! LOL! (Nearly 50, if you really want to know.)
I had the flower image printed out from last Wednesday's Flutter By Wednesday post, so I colored it and used it. I used Prismacolor pencils and Goo Gone for the coloring, and I added Star Dust Stickles to the flowers. I cut it out and glued it to the bottom layer. The bottom layer is stamped with a PSX stamp, embossed with a Stampin' Up! folder, and matted with black. Edited to add: I forgot to say that the digital image is from Beccy's Place.
This card is also for this week's CAS-ual Friday challenge to use sparkle on a CAS (Clean and Simple) card.

Happy Anniversary Harriet and Bruce!
Last Thursday was my friend Harriet's anniversary. I sent her card a bit late, but it finally arrived so I can post it here. Hope you had a great day, Harriet!
I figured for a fellow Flutter By Wednesday team member, I would use a butterfly:) The swirly stamp for the background and the butterfly are both from a set by Hampton Arts. I used Memento London Fog ink for the background. I paper-pieced the butterfly using Papertrey Ink cardstock and added Stardust Stickles to it. I placed it on an oval cut with Nestabilities and mounted on foam squares. The sentiment is from PSX.

Friends are Flowers
These flowers and the sentiment piece were both from a friend in our stamping group from Canada who wasn't able to make it to our Group Gathering in June. Thanks again, Annie! I still have more to use!

I colored the flowers three times, til I was finally satisfied with them. First I used some really cheap watercolors - too pale and chalky. Then I added some Copics, but still too light. I added more Copics and they are acceptable. Not great, but acceptable. I spritzed the flowers with some glimmer mist type spray. The card is a style I learned at our Group Gathering. I made several of them when I was there - to be finished later. This is the first one I've used. It's a double folded card. I put patterned paper (from Recollections) on the second page and stamped some birthday greetings from PSX. The inside is still blank, waiting to be written in.

Pink Birthday
A friend came over to my house yesterday and we spent the day crafting - me doing stamping and her doing digital scrapbooking. We were pretty slow at getting anything done until late in the day, but we did finally accomplish some things.
This was one of the three cards that I got finished. One is very similar to others I've done, so it probably won't make my blog. The third one may find its way here soon. I stamped the sentiment (from PSX) on the cardstock, then embossed with a Swiss Dots folder. The flowers are from Michael's (Studio 18.) The butterflies were punched with a Martha Stewart punch and have pearl centers. Simple, but pretty, I think.

"Kit" Cards - With a Slight Twist
When we were in Des Moines for our Group Gathering, most of the ladies went to a stamping store called Outstamping Designs. We purchased kits from a card class they had. I truly did like the sentiment stamps they used, but I knew I wouldn't use the cards if I used those sentiments, so I waited until I got home to make mine, and then used birthday, anniversary, thank you, etc. stamps to finish them up. Above is a picture of all of them, and here are the individual cards. There are two sets that are the same, so I'll just show you seven of the nine.
And there you have it:) Again, these are NOT my designs, I just cut the pieces and added my own sentiments. They are done with beautiful glittery stickers.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
