Ink on Rubber

Our granddaughter spent an afternoon with me in my stamping about a month ago, and she wanted to try this technique - among other things. So, I found this Rubber Stampede wood-mounted rubber stamp and used markers directly on it and spritzed with water. The sentiments are both from My Favorite Things.

More Paint Samples

I love the color of this patterned paper, and it matched so nicely with some of our paint samples. I have four more backgrounds ready to finish into cards, but this is what I have for now. This first one features a die-cut paint sample and a Gina K stamp.

The butterfly is another paint sample die-cut. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

These last two are nearly identical - just different flower dies and slightly different color paint samples. The sentiment is from Gina K. I also added a few sequins.

Birthday Wish

Another couple of card parts used up. I really am making progress. I had thought I would never reach the end of them, but now I can actually foresee them being gone! The butterfly and the die-cut panel were the parts for this card. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things. I added shimmery cardstock under the die-cut area on the edge of the card.

Lovely Birthday

The embossed panel was in my card parts book, as was the die-cut piece. I stamped the sentiment on it and brushed a little ink around the edges and popped it up. I matted the panel with black.

One Design - Four Variations

I came across a card I had made previously using this layout, and wanted to use up some papers to do it again. I cut four sheets of patterned paper to the same dimensions and added them to a matting layer. Then I stamped the sentiment, dragged the edges on an ink pad, and popped them up.

Edited to add: The pieces measure: 4 x 2 3/4, 4 x 1, 1 x 2 3/4, 1 x 1 inches. Start with a 5 x 3 3/4 inch piece. Cut a one-inch strip and then cut that into the 1 inch piece and the four inch piece. Cut the remaining piece (2 3/4 x 5) at one inch for the two remaining pieces.

November Calendar Page

What - November??? Here is my calendar page for the month. The background was stamped with a stamp from My Favorite Things using multiple ink colors. The pumpkins and the sentiment - from Gina K - were stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with gold. Happy November!

Three More Super-Simple Cards

Three more cards using card bases I had previously made. I simply stamped sentiments on the patterned paper. I did the orange ones first and then the black. I think the black is probably better.

August Calendar Page

Oh my gosh - it's August!! How did that happen?? Seems like the summer just started.

Here is my calendar page for the month. The image and sentiment stamps are both from My Favorite Things. I ink-blended the background before stamping and then did some slight coloring with Copics afterwards. I hope you all have a great month.

Celebrate Your Special Day

Ah, I had most of today to spend in my stamping room - how awesome! Here is one of the cards that I finished up. The die-cut piece was out on my table - cut from a foiled negative piece. The sentiment is silver embossed and is from My Favorite Things. I matted that piece with white and popped it up on foam squares.

June Calendar Page

Oh my goodness, it's June! How did that happen? Here is my calendar page for this month. The image is from My Favorite Things and the sentiment is from Repeat Impressions. I did the coloring with Stampin' Up! chalks. Anyone still have those? :-) That's all there is to it! Happy June!

April Calendar Page

Oops - April Fools!! (On me.) I forgot to schedule this post. At least it's still going up on the First.

Here is my calendar page for April. I used dies from My Favorite Things for the umbrella, a stencil for the background and my computer for the sentiment. You can't tell in the photo, but the umbrella handle is cut from foil cardstock. Happy April to all.

I just don't seem to be able to find time to spend in my stamping room! Not sure where all the time goes, but ... Hopefully I'll get back to card-making and blog-reading again soon.

Multiple Simple Cards

I've had many of this sized pieces of patterned paper for about fifteen years or more, and I finally used up some more of them. I believe they are old samples of Stampin' Up! papers, but I'm not sure. I matted each of them with black and added a popped-up sentiment. The sentiments are from various companies. I made thirteen of them.

This last one uses ephemera from Gina K.

SCT Class - My Favorite Things

Here are my cards from the My Favorite Things class from the SCT class.  This first one is a flat panel on the bottom layer and the smaller panel is the actual opening card.
This is a special fold card with a belly band. Lots of little die cuts.

And more little die cuts, plus some stenciling.

Encouragement Card?

The image for this card was an extra one I had after making my calendar pages. I fussy-cut it out and popped it up on foam squares. It is from My Favorite Things, as is the sentiment. I colored it with my old Stampin' Up! chalks, but then I added a little extra coloring with Prismacolor pencils. The patterned paper is from a matstack from Recollections.

"Sweet" Things - Part Two

This is a continuation of yesterday's post. Five more cards that I made with My Favorite Things dies and sentiments. The embossed backgrounds were made with a Darice folder - one of my favorites.

"Sweet" Cards - Part One

Several years ago, I was so lucky to get a bunch of My Favorite Things stamps from a friend. I have used them so much! These cards were all made with the same set. All the dies and sentiments are from that set. There are also image stamps for all of these sweet things, but I only used the dies and the sentiment stamps this time. Actually, there are two sets of dies. One cuts these images and embosses lines in some of them. The other set cuts the stamped images with a slight border around them. I haven't used any of those yet, I don't believe.

Tomorrow I will post the other five that I made.

August Calendar Page

August has rolled around. I hope you've all been enjoying a great summer!

The tree stamp is from My Favorite Things. The sentiment is from Repeat Impressions. To color the tree, I stamped on a piece of scrap paper and then cut out the leafy part of the tree and placed it over the stamped image on the calendar page. Then I used my blending brushes to ink blend. I like the way it turned out. Much easier than using Copics! I colored the rest of the image with non-alcohol markers so the ink wouldn't come through.

You Are Amazing

I used half of this sheet of patterned paper for a different card - to come later. It's not actually finished yet. But, I had this half sheet left, plus the matting panel. I die-cut the flowers and colored them with Copics. I also added some enamel dots to the flowers and to the "i" of the sentiment, which is from My Favorite Things.
The sentiment panel is popped up on foam squares - and looks crooked - dang!
