Using Up More Parts

I had two Glimmer hot-foiled frames sitting on my table - two different sizes. Here is the first one, finally used up. The flower is a stencil set from Gina K. The sentiment is from Gina K, also, and is stamped, die-cut and popped up on foam squares.

And, here is another. I had done this flower on thin cardstock, just to test it out. But, of course, I couldn't throw it out! So, I cut around it loosely, taped it to a panel, stamped the sentiment (from Concord and 9th), and then embossed with a Darice folder. Then I matted it and added it to the card base.

Two More Christmas Cards (Actually Three)

I've been working on using up some pieces that have been on my table for a while. I'm happy to say they are all now gone, and you'll be seeing them in the next few days. That is NOT to say that my card parts are all gone. Far from it! They are just filed in a book and now I have started putting some in little cases - the kind that fit photos and then the cases go into a storage box.

This Glimmer hot-foiled piece was what I was trying to use up on this first card. I had the frame, also. I used a new-to-me set from Gina K to stamp and die-cut the sentiment. It's one that stamps several at one time, and then cuts them all out with one pass through the die-cutter. Both the image panel and the sentiment are popped up on foam squares.

Very similar, but the stamps are from Echo Park. I added Versamark over the tree image and then clear embossing powder over that. I made two of these cards.

Game Controller Birthday

The game controller is from one of my newest Gina K stamp sets. I colored it quite simply with Copic markers. The sentiment is from Gina K, also. The white and black pieces with rounded corners were in my small pile of pieces to use. I popped up that panel with foam squares. I added some patterned paper and a thin black strip of cardstock to finish off the card.

Scraps

I don't like to throw scraps away, but sometimes I do. These two scraps made it on to cards, though. For this first one, I simply stamped the sentiment, from Gina K, on to the patterned paper and matted with black. I embossed a frame around it by embossing a cutting die by using the rubber mat. The entire layer is popped up on foam squares.

For this second one, I used an old flower stamp from PaperTrey Ink and cut it out. I added a bit of shading. Then I added FlowerSoft (yes, FlowerSoft!!) to the center. The sentiment is again from Gina K and I again matted with black. I embossed a white panel with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder and matted that with black, also. The flower is popped up with a foam square.

Same Stamp, Different Color Schemes

Another stamp set from Gina K that I had to have when Gina had her great sale. I did it in three different versions - color-wise. Here is the middle colors. All the stramps are from Gina K. I used a thin metallic sticker between the image layer and the patterned paper.

Here is the bright one. I used a thin black cardstock strip on this one. Also, the image panel is mounted on foam squares.

And the pastel one. Again, a thin metallic sticker, and the panel is mounted on foam squares.

EDITED TO ADD: I got the stickers on Amazon. They are "Paper Wishes - Dazzle Stickers."

More Altenew Flowers

Here are the other two stamped and die-cut images from Altenew. (I posted the first one a few days ago.) This one was colored with Copics markers. The sentiment is from Gina K and is stamped and die-cut. Both the flowers and the sentiment are popped up with foam squares. I embossed the patterned paper background with a Darice folder and then rubbed white ink lightly over it.

This one I took out of my trash. I had watercolored it and never liked it. When I was looking for something else, I rescued it. I still don't like it, but I thought someone else might. :-) Same basic description as the one above.

Sending Love

I have no idea where this stamp came from in the first place, but I pulled it out of my trash a couple days ago while I was looking for something else. 😁 It had the word "June" in the middle and I had no use for it! (Oh, in hindsight, I guess I could have used it on my calendars!) I was able to cut that out and use the stamp. I colored with Copics and matted it with some white stock which I had ink-blended to match the coloring. I added a few Disco Ball sequins from Gina K. The sentiment is from Gina K, also. The pink piece is vellum, which I embossed with a Gina K folder.

Simple Flowers

A while back, Susan posted some cards using this set and another, both from Gina K. I loved them and I had to have the sets. So, when Gina had her 25% off sale on the Fourth of July, I ordered them, along with some other things.

For this first one, I used an ancient Martha Stewart border punch on the matting piece, and the panel is popped up on foam squares.

For this one, I used a Gina K embossing folder on the green piece and matted both panel with black, again popping up the image panel.

For these last two, I simply matted the image panels and attached them directly to the card base.

You will see the other set soon, I hope!

Happy Day!

Quick card for today. Patterned paper, embossed with a 3D Altenew folder. I first rubbed white pigment ink over the embossing, and then a lighter orchid ink and then a little bit darker orchid ink. The sentiment was stamped and die-cut with Gina K stamp and die. A thin mat completes the card. This is not my own technique! I think I saw it by someone from Altenew.

Birthday Flowers

I saw this card somewhere and thought I would give it a try. It's quite simple, really. Here is a link to the video that I watched. I'm sure there are many others. I embossed the matting pieces with a Gina K folder. The die-cut flowers and leaves are from Gina K, also. I think the sentiment is from Gina K, too - it came from my card parts. It was foiled and die-cut.

Wishing You a Great Birthday

For some reason, I thought of the mulberry paper that I have. I have rarely used it, but I dug it out yesterday and started on this card. I finished it up this morning when I couldn't sleep. I used white for this one, but I have several other colors. I used another die-cut, layered flower from Altenew that I had made in January. I made the mulberry paper into an oval shape and cut out an oval to place it on. Then I embossed the green layer with a Gina K folder and matted that with purple. I mounted the flower and the sentiment, also from Gina K, on foam squares. I wish the "tattered" edges of the mulberry paper showed up better in the photo, but you know how that goes.

Gina K Stencil

I ordered some new things from Gina K. Hopefully I will use them soon! Here is the first of them. The flowers with leaves are layering stencils. I trimmed the panel down and cut the top at an angle. I added a glitter strip to the top of that panel. The sentiment is also from Gina K.

Thanks

The thank you cards that I make are usually extremely CAS. This one isn't a lot more complicated, but it takes a while for me to do the coloring. I made three of this image a while ago and used different mediums to color them, and I'm not sure what this one was colored with. The stamp and die are from Altenew and it's mounted on foam squares. I matted my patterned paper with black. The sentiment dies are from Gina K.

Wishing You a Happy Day

Here is the leaf that I tried using a few days ago that just didn't work. I think it's a bit large for this card, too, but I used it anyway. (I had already put it in my trash, but salvaged it!) It is a left-over from Brutus Monroe from my Scrapbook and Cards Today card class from last year. The text is a rub-on. The patterned paper is from Gina K, as is the sentiment.

Card Parts Anniversary

I used two left-over pieces of shimmery patterned cardstock from a previous card for both of these cards. The sentiment on this first card is from Gina K and is embossed with gold powder. The flower is from Gina K, also, and is a foiled negative. I added a thin strip of cardstock above the patterned paper and also some gold sequins.

This one is basically like the first one, but with different card parts. The vellum, foiled butterfly and the foiled sentiment were in my card parts book. They are both popped up on foam squares.

Sympathy Flower

This card started out with a completely different image. I had another piece leftover from the Brutus Monroe class, but just didn't like the way it ended up looking here. The sentiment, the layout and the background (slightly shimmery) were all done for the other image. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. The die-cut flower and leaf were done with Altenew dies. I made them (and several others) in January and I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've used one of them. The flower is popped up.

Crazy Bird Birthday

The text background was leftover from a card class I took last September and was in my card parts - all matted up. It is from Brutus Monroe and is a rub-on. Time to use it up. The "crazy bird" image was stamped and die-cut and in my card parts, also, and I thought they went well together. The bird is popped up on foam squares, of course. The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.

Thanks With Splatters

I feel like I never get a chance to start a card from scratch - there is always something on my table that I'm trying to use up! I had the "splattered" stamped piece to use up. It was stamped with a Gina K stamp. I trimmed it and matted it with black. The "thanks" was in my card parts and I added it across the middle. The embossed background piece was in my parts, also. I brushed a bit of matching ink over it to match the sentiment panel.

Anniversary Hearts

Another card with a layout that I saw on my friend, Cheryl's, blog. I liked it the moment I saw it. I folded two card bases right away. Here is the second one. The patterned paper on the front came with the heart border on it. I had a heart cut out on my table from some other time. I cut out a metallic heart to mount the white one on. I first embossed the white heart and then added ink (lots of colors, trying to match the cardstock!) and then popped up the two layers on foam squares. The sentiment was silver embossed. It's from Stampendous.

More Christmas Joy

I told you I'd be back with more of these. Such a lovely die! I added the letter pieces inside the die cuts and taped them in with some regular tape, then popped up the full thing with foam squares. I embossed the background with a folder. I think it's from Sizzix, but it's possible it's a Cuttlebug folder.

Hard to tell, but I cut the letters out of the same patterned paper as the background.

Same as the first one, but with reverse die-cutting.

Enjoy Your Birthday

Thanks, Cheryl, for the layout of this card! I used some pretty, shimmery patterned cardstock that I've had for years. (Kris, I think it was from you. Thanks!) The sentiment was in my parts, too. It had been cut from wrapping paper adhered to white cardstock. I also added about four extra layers. The sentiment was embossed with gold and cut out from an old Stampin' Up! Word Window punch - with about four extra layers on that, too.

Christmas Joy

A friend sent me this die. I love it! (My middle name is Joy. :-) ) I used metallic cardstocks for the die-cutting. I also added the thin metallic strips alongside the green. I'm sure you'll see more of this die soon!

July Calendar Page

Here is my calendar page for the month of July. Hard to believe that 2025 is half over - incredible! The stamps are from My Favorite Things - including the sentiment. The balloon is die-cut.
