Embossing Paste and Brass Stencil

I wanted to make sure to put up a card today, but I don’t have time to make a new one, so I’m going to show you one I’ve already uploaded to SplitCoastStampers. I’ve taken some more detailed shots to share, though.

This card was done with a Dreamweavers brass stencil and embossing paste. I would be happy to do a tutorial on this at a later date, if there is any interest.

I taped the stencil to the white cardstock with removable tape. Then I stippled the color through the stencil. I cleaned off the stencil after I was done stippling, so that I would not get color in my embossing paste. I spread the embossing paste over the stencil, then removed the stencil, sprinkled with ultra-fine glitter and let it dry.

I cut and embossed the holes in the saffron and celery cardstock with rectangle Nestabilities and mounted them on Pop Dots for dimension. The “HELLO” is stamped with Versamark and embossed with sparkly embossing powder, and the slot is punched with Stampin’ Up!’s Word Window punch.

Here are close-up shots of the sparkle of the glitter and the dimension of the embossing paste, the Word Window slot and embossed HELLO, and the dimension that the Pop Dots give. You can click on each picture for a larger view.

Thanks for looking, and I hope you’ll come back and visit again soon!
