This card was done with the same stamp (Gerber Daisies from Flourishes) as the card from a few days ago.
I colored this one with traditional daisy colors using Copic markers. The butterfly and sentiment are from the same stamp set. I also used a Spica glitter pen on the butterfly and the flower centers. I matted the image panel with a textured yellow cardstock.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
A place for me to share the cards I create, and maybe a few other things, too!

One More Glittery Sticker
This is the last of the stickers I made with the materials Harriet brought with her in June. (You can see the other two here and here.)
I carefully cut the butterfly out and mounted it on white cardstock. Then I matted with Stampin' Up!'s Perfect Plum and mounted the panel on Dimensionals. I embossed the bottom piece with a Cuttlebug folder and added the sentiment from Papertrey Ink.

For my card, I used Little Lamb, found on this page and Little One, found on this page. I did a little coloring with Copics and cut the image and matting with Nestabilities. I mounted it on Dimensionals. The background paper is from Die Cuts With a View. I added rick-rack ribbon (colored with a Copic marker), a flower, and a button.
We'd love to have you join us! And don't forget, you have until next Tuesday to enter the Designer's Choice Challenge to use glitter (found here) for a chance to win a sheet of unmounted rubber!

Cheery Birthday
Finally, a new card! It's been almost three weeks since I have made a card. Funny how I had a new card every day for two weeks while we were gone, and now that I'm home, I haven't had anything to share!
This is simple, but it felt nice to get something done. The image is one I stamped at our Group Gathering in Des Moines in June. It's from Flourishes, called Gerber Daisies. I colored it with Copic markers. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. I matted with Stampin' Up! cardstock. That's it! I will have a new card tomorrow, for the WHAT IF? Wednesday challenge from Repeat Impressions.

Back from Vacation!
We got back from our vacation on Monday evening. Didn't even miss me, did you? LOL! I was pretty busy before we left, getting all my required projects done, doing some extra cards, and doing my pre-posts.
I have selected just a few of the MANY pictures we took. We were at a retreat center in the Cascade Mountains of Washington. We were supposed to take Amtrak - got out tickets in very early March. We had a sleeper car and everything! It would have been awesome, but due to the flooding in Minot, ND, Amtrak could not get through. So, we flew to Seattle and from there to Wenatchee, WA. A group from our church went (16 of us, total) and my husband and I got a ride to the ferry boat with another couple, about an hour away. (Most everyone else drove from Minnesota to Washington.) The boat ride was about two hours and we were met by a bus which took us the last 35 minutes of the trip. We did a lot of hiking and a lot of eating:) The meals were all prepared for us - how cool! We left home very early on Saturday, July 9 and returned on Monday evening, July 18. Quite an experience, and very beautiful. We had no cell phone service nor internet - and amazingly, I didn't even miss it!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Sparkly, Glossy Roses
I had this colored image sitting on my table for a while, so i decided it was time to make it into a card.
I had colored it with Copics. I masked off the edges and inked it up with a Versamark pad, then embossed it with Iridescent Sparkle embossing powder. Then I inked it up twice more with Versamark and added two layers of Deep Impression embossing powder. This is always such a great effect! The image is mounted on Dimensionals and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Designer's Choice Challenge - Glitter
It's time for another Designer's Choice Challenge from Repeat Impressions. This time Joy has challenged us to use glitter on our cards. I love the "sparkly-ness" of glitter and don't even mind the mess, but I usually forget to use it, so this was a great challenge for me. Please visit the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built, for the details and to see the other Rock Stars' cards. Or follow these links:
For my card, I dug out my Essential Glue pad and used it to stamp my Damselfly Flight. (This Damselfly is the Stamp of the Week from RI, too. You can purchase it through Sunday for 50% off. Visit the RI blog for details.) I used Martha Stewart glitter over the stamped glue. I double matted the dragonfly with mats cut with Nestabilities. The background was one I got from someone - I assume it was done with ink direct to glossy cardstock. I used Scor-Tape on the background for the glittered lines around the edges. The matting cardstock is from Stampin' Up! and the sentiment is a rub-on - again!
I hope you decide to join in the challenge, and I look forward to seeing your creations!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
Then, make a card using glitter, upload it, and link it to the blog. One lucky winner for the month will win a full sheet of unmounted rubber!

Welcome, Little One
I've been on a roll with using up miscellaneous images "cluttering" my stamping table:)
I had this one (Little Lamb from Repeat Impressions) left over from a WHAT IF? Wednesday challenge card I made and decided to color it up and cut it out. I mounted it on Dimensionals. The sentiment is from Repeat Impressions, also. The matting is from Stampin' Up!

Repeat Impressions Stamp of the Week - Damselfly Flight
Another Monday brings another Repeat Impressions Stamp of the Week. This week's stamp is called 4403-J Damselfly Flight. You can find it on this page. You can purchase this stamp for 50% off through Sunday. Visit the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built, for all the details and to see what the other Design Team members have created with it.
I stamped the damselfly on a pearly vellum, and then colored the back of the body with a black Copic marker. I stamped it onto the background paper, too, and then glued the vellum one on the page. The flowers are from Repeat Impressions (4314-K, Flowering Vine) and the sentiment is, too. The patterned paper is from Die Cuts With a View.

Another Watercolored Bird and Blossoms Card
When I did my post for a watercolor challenge for Repeat Impressions, I had started with this image for practice. However, I couldn't bear to throw it out - I had to use it:) So, here it is.
Quite simple. The background was embossed at our Group Gathering in Des Moines in June with a Stampin' Up! folder. The sentiment is from SU! also, and is mounted with Dimensionals. All matting is done with black. The Bird and Blossoms image is from Repeat Impressions.

Glittery Stickers - Part Two
Another card using the awesome glittery stickers I talked about in my post from July 12.
This one I also colored with Copics, and tried doing a little shading on it. The patterned paper is from Die Cuts with a View and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Repeat Impressions Blog Hop!! New Stamps!! Fun, Fun!
To be entered for a chance to win this contest, here is what you will need to do: Visit all the RI Rock Stars' blogs. Each artist will share a word with you. After you collect all the words, email Wendy(wendy@repeatimpressions.com) with all the words. If you can use all the words to create the correct phrase then you will have earned yourself TWO chances for the blog candy! You must complete the hop and email Wendy all the words and/or the phrase no later than 8 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesday, July 19. The blog candy for this hop... an unmounted sheet of the new Summer stamps of course! The winner will be announced on the Repeat Impressions blog on Wednesday, so be sure to check if you've won. Good luck!!
My word is: STAMP
Goodness, this post is so long, I'm not sure I have the energy to describe how I made my cards! The top one is paper-pieced, uses a kraft base and the image panel is mounted on Dimensionals. The second one is colored with Copics, uses a Spica glitter pen for the dandelions and a Martha Stewart punch for the butterflies and pearls for their bodies. I used a Nestability to draw the frame around the image. The paper is from Die Cuts With a View. The Spica pens are now available from Repeat Impressions, too!

Happy Birthday, Joyce!
Today is my friend Joyce's birthday. Happy Birthday, Joyce!
I embossed this background using a friend's Stampin' Up! folder. I glued the embossed piece onto the card front. I paper-pieced the butterfly. This is a sort-of "sneak peek" of tomorrow's post! Be sure to check back! The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Repeat Impressions WHAT IF? Wednesday Sketch
Today - being Wednesday - is time for another Repeat Impressions challenge. This week it's the WHAT IF? Wednesday sketch challenge. Here is the sketch for this time:
For my card, I started with this week's Stamp of the Week, Hammock. (Check out the RI blog link above for the details on this special offer, too. You can purchase this stamp for 50% off through Sunday.) I stamped the image on textured white cardstock and colored it. I added the embossing at the bottom with a Cuttlebug border folder. I thought it mimicked the design on the patterned paper. I added the same textured cardstock to the top of the card and sponged it with some brown ink. The patterned paper is all from Die Cuts With a View Green Matstock. The sentiment is a rub-on. (Recognize it? I got a package of white ones and black ones, and I certainly have been using them!)
We'd love to have you join us! Good luck!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
Please visit the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built, for all the details on how YOU can win a $25 gift certificate from Repeat Impressions by participating in this challenge. You will also find the wonderful creations by the other Rock Stars there, too. Or you can follow these links: (Sorry - they are a link to the blogs, and NOT to the specific blog post. Just look for the post dated 7/13.)

Glittery Stickers - Part One
When my friend Harriet was here in June, she also brought some really cool make-it-yourself glittery stickers. They are from Elizabeth Crafts and can be found at several on-line stores.
I made three of them and have two of them made into cards so far. I will share them later. These were done by cutting a piece of double-sided sticky paper and adding the glitter to one side, then putting the sticker on it. Then you can color right over the glitter with Copic markers and cut around the edges. I stuck that colored, glittery sticker on some textured white cardstock. The sentiment is a rub-on. I embossed the background with a Quickutz embossing folder. This glitter is so very awesome - you can feel it and swear it's not glitter, it's so fine!

Gee - Another Yellow, Black and White Daisy Card!
I haven't done a yellow and black daisy card for a little while now, so I guess it's just about time! LOL!
I came across this small piece of yellow patterned paper on my table and wanted to just use it, rather than put it away. The daisies are from K&Co. The sentiment is a rub-on. The lines across the center are done with my Scor-Pal and "scuffed" with a sanding block.
Today's Repeat Impressions Stamp of the Week is Hammock, found on this page. It's available for 50% off for this week only. Please check out the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built, for all the details. I will be sharing a card using this stamp on Wednesday for my RI WHAT IF? Wednesday sketch challenge.

Dimensional Pansy - and I'm in the Sweet 'N Sassy Spotlight!
Another dimensional flower courtesy of my friend, Harriet. (She gave some to me when she was here in June.)
I punched out the pieces and layered them with foam squares. I used my Scor-Pal to make the design on the background piece. I matted with Vintage Violet cardstock from Stampin' Up! The sentiment is from SU! also - Sincere Salutations.
Check this out! Thanks to Harriet letting me use her Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps while she was here, I get to be in the Customer Spotlight! How cool! Thanks so much for the honor, Janette!

"Kit" Cards - With a Slight Twist
When we were in Des Moines for our Group Gathering, most of the ladies went to a stamping store called Outstamping Designs. We purchased kits from a card class they had. I truly did like the sentiment stamps they used, but I knew I wouldn't use the cards if I used those sentiments, so I waited until I got home to make mine, and then used birthday, anniversary, thank you, etc. stamps to finish them up. Above is a picture of all of them, and here are the individual cards. There are two sets that are the same, so I'll just show you seven of the nine.
And there you have it:) Again, these are NOT my designs, I just cut the pieces and added my own sentiments. They are done with beautiful glittery stickers.

Simple Summery Birthday
I felt like making a super-simple card last week, and this is what "happened."
The flower stamp is from Inkadinkado. The inks and cardstocks are all from Stampin' Up! The sentiment is from a Studio G set. The squares were cut with Lifestyles (Quickutz) dies.

Rose Wreath Anniversary
I was looking through the Repeat Impressions catalog, and when I was looking at the Rose Wreath stamp, I remembered a card I saw many years ago. So, this main image is a CASE of that card.
I stamped the wreath with Versamark on Old Olive cardstock and embossed with detail gold embossing powder. Then I took a Fantastix (like this, but with a pointed tip) and used bleach to "color" the roses. Then I colored the leaves with a Copic marker. I punched the corners on the lower edge with a Fiskars corner punch. The bottom layer is a shimmery gold paper. I scored the bottom of it with my Scor-Pal. The sentiment is also from Repeat Impressions, embossed with gold.

For my card, I used 2007-I Christmas Teddy, found on this page. I paper-pieced him using four different papers and colored his paws and nose. The patterned papers I used are from a Die Cuts With a View Winter Matstack. The sentiment is from Repeat Impressions. We'd love to have you join us!
Also, you still have nearly a week to participate in our WHAT IF? Wednesday sketch challenge for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate. You can find the details of that challenge here.

Happy Anniversary, Vicki and Gary!
I actually have a whole lot of cards to share with you all, but not a lot of time to blog about them. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. You can email me from the "About Me" section in the right column by clicking on the "View My Complete Profile" link.
This card is for my friend Vicki and her husband Gary. They celebrated their wedding anniversary yesterday, on the Fourth. The sunflower stamp is from Repeat Impressions. I watercolored it and added FlowerSoft to the center. I cut it with a Nestability and drew the dashed lines before removing the die. The matting is also done with a Nestability. The patterned paper is from Die Cuts With a View. The matting is Always Artichoke, from Stampin' Up! The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Double-Embossed Birthday
I made this card for a Yahoo! Cuttlebug group's challenge called Double Embossing - to use two embossing folders. I actually used three.
I embossed the bottom section, then the middle line of dots with a border folder, then embossed the top section. Then I added the scored lines between the sections. The sentiment is from Woodware USA. The other images are from StampingScrapping.com. I used Vintage Violet ink and cardstock, cut the matting out with a Lacy Circle Nestability die, and mounted on Dimensionals.

One-Layer Card (and Two-Layer Card)
I made this one-layer card for the One-Layer Wednesday challenge on Susan's blog, Simplicity. The challenge this week was to use stamps and ink only, and layer them.
I used Stampin' Up!'s Lovely as a Tree stamp set. I inked up the oak tree stamp with markers. I used Old Olive over the leaves, then used Always Artichoke to "thump" over it. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Birthday Basics set.
Then, I made another one:) I trimmed it down this time and mounted it on Dimensionals onto a white card base. I think I like this one better.
