An anniversary card for a friend in my stamping group. Happy Anniversary, Sheri and Bill!
The flowers and butterflies are from a Papertrey Ink stamp. I added mini brads to the flower centers. The sentiment is from Stampendous. The card base is ivory and the matting is Old Olive from Stampin' Up!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
A place for me to share the cards I create, and maybe a few other things, too!

Christmas Sunday
It's Sunday, so that means it's the day for me to post any Christmas cards I've made during the week. This week I have two. Not much to either of them, but that's the way I like it! :)
This first one is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. I added some red grosgrain ribbon and a sentiment - from Hampton Arts Outlines. The white embossed layer is glued to the card base.
The tag on this second one was in my card parts pile. The stamp and the punches that were used are both from Stampin' up! The embossing was done with a Cuttlebug border folder and the ribbon is from Martha Stewart. I also embossed a couple lines under the embossing with my Scor-Pal.
I'm linking these cards to the Christmas Card Challenge blog.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Masked Butterfly Sympathy
Another simple card I made on Wednesday when I had some spare stamping time.
I had die cut the mask in June and used it for Wednesday for the first time. I placed it over the ivory cardstock and sponged a couple colors of Tim Holtz Distress inks on it. Then I removed the mask and added the sentiment, from a Hero Arts set. I had made it as a one-layer card, but I just couldn't leave it that way, so I cut it down, matted with a plum cardstock and mounted on an ivory card base.

Black and White Thanks
I'm not sure if I had ever made a completely black and white card before, but I have now!
The "thanks" was cut with a Cuttlebug die. I matted it with white and then black and mounted on foam squares. It was fun to have a little time in my stamping room yesterday. I do have a couple more cards to share with you soon.

Flutter By Wednesday - a Sketch
A new Flutter By Wednesday challenge begins today. And it's another great sketch by team member, Kathy. I have included the sketch here, and you can also find it on the FBW blog page. We'd love to see what you can create using this sketch - and a fairy or butterfly, of course! Danni is adding something new starting this week: if there are 100 or more entries, there will be a prize!
I created my card using Hero Arts stamps. My card base and main panel are light gray cardstock. The solid gray is Going Gray by Stampin' Up! The patterned paper on the bottom is from a Recollections matstack. I cut the main panel with a Nestability, embossed it, and then colored the edge with a Going Gray marker. I cut the scalloped oval with the same light gray. The solid gray piece along the bottom was cut with a Fiskars rotary cutter. I added some scoring to that strip with my Martha Stewart scoring board. I also added scoring to the gray panel behind the main image. The butterflies were cut with a Martha Stewart butterfly punch and then I added black gems.

Christmas Sunday
Two more cards done - slowly but surely I'm making progress. I was at Michael's on Monday because their "Daily Deal" was that all stamps were 50% off. I had to go and check it out. I bought two new Christmas sets, because I "needed" them - NOT! But, I do love them. They are Outlines by Hampton Art.
The cards are nearly identical, but I'm showing them both to you, anyway. I colored the images with Copics and added some Star Dust Stickles. I matted the first with Old Olive and the second with red. I also added some embossing on the second one, done with a Cuttlebug folder. I'm submitting them to the Christmas Card Challenges blog.
I finally got another month of my 2014 calendar done, too. That only makes two, though:( Ten to go. Hopefully I'll buckle down and get them done before too long.

Vintage Birthday - and a Couple of Updates
Leslie Miller makes the most beautiful, feminine cards! She sometimes uses digital images and has shared the link to Digital Two for Tuesdays. I downloaded several images and have printed some to color. This one can be found here.
I colored it with Copics. Because of the shading in the printed image, I didn't have to do a lot of shading with the markers. I matted with Vintage Violet cardstock (retired, from Stampin' Up!) The patterned paper is from a matstack from Jodie Lee Designs. I stamped the sentiment (from TPC Studio) with Vintage Violet ink.
The updates: my mom had six weeks of radiation after her surgery for skin cancer. She had a follow-up PET scan and I went with her to the oncologist a few weeks ago. The oncologist told her she had cancer in her lungs and had six months to a year to live. She had a biopsy on his recommendation - not to find out IF she had cancer, but to find out what kind of cancer it was. The biopsy showed no signs of cancer. So that was THE BEST NEWS possible, but it sure made us upset at the oncologist!
Also, our fourth grandson (and fifth grandchild) was born yesterday at 11:25 a.m. His name is Wyatt Ellsworth. (My dad's middle name is Ellsworth.) He has Down's Syndrome, but he is very healthy and doing awesome!

Yet Another Butterfly Birthday!
This is the card I made for our daughter for her birthday, which was yesterday. She and her family are the ones that I got my Cameo Silhouette from, so I thought it was only fitting that the card I made for her used shapes cut with it!
There were four pieces cut with the Silhouette - the purple butterfly, the black butterfly, the green "holey" circle and the ivory circle. I glued the butterfly right to the circles and then mounted the circles on foam squares. I embossed the ivory background with a Swiss Dots folder and then matted with the same green. The sentiment is from TPC Studio. I also added Star Dust Stickles to the black butterfly.

Flutter By Wednesday
This week's Flutter By Wednesday is open - just be sure to remember your butterfly or fairy and link it up to the FBW blog.
Today's card is for a friend who loves purple! The patterned paper is from one of my oldest matstacks from Die Cuts With a View. The white layer was cut with a Spellbinders die. (It's a gorgeous die I used while in Des Moines at our Group Gathering.) The sentiment is from a retired Stampin' Up! set and the butterfly was a gift from Andrea at our Group Gathering last year. I guess this is rather a "Group Gathering" card, because I bought the matstack at our first one, many years ago! LOL. Can't wait to see your fluttery creations!

Gray and Pink Thinking of You
A card I created for a friend of a friend with serious health issues.
The pink squares were cut with my Cameo Silhouette. I glued them on light gray cardstock (same as the base.) I matted with a darker gray and stamped the sentiment with the same color. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado. The butterfly was punched with a Martha Stewart punch and I added a little sticker "gem."

Butterfly Birthday
Well, my supply of cards to post has pretty much come to an end:) I had a streak of three days where I got to spend most all day in my stamping room. I had lots of cards to share after that. However, that was almost three weeks ago, and I've hardly had any stamping time after that. This is the only one I've made since then.
The butterfly and the leafy swirl were both cut at our Group Gathering in June with Memory Box dies. I used a Stampin' Up! embossing folder on the butterfly and added a gem. The patterned paper is from an old SU! pad. I rounded the bottom corners and matted with black. I stamped the sentiment (from TPC Studios) with black on a separate piece of the patterned paper and placed it on the right edge. (I had tried stamping with Versamark and embossing with white, but it did not show up well enough.) After attaching the butterfly, I added the antennae and body with a black marker.

Happy Anniversary, Harriet and Bruce!
This card is for my friend, Harriet, and her husband, Bruce. Happy Anniversary to you two!
The image (which I believe is from Gina K) was stamped and paper-pieced and in my card parts pile. I colored it and matted it with black. Both of the patterned purple papers are from an old Stampin' Up! stack. The black die-cut border was cut with a Memory Box die. The sentiment is from Stampendous.

Happy Birthday, Vicki!
This card is for my friend, Vicki. Her birthday was yesterday. She does like her butterflies:) I thought orange would be a nice color for a fall birthday.
I made the background by brayering orange onto a Fiskars texture plate. I matted with black and stamped the sentiment (from Stampin' Up!) in black, also. The butterfly was die cut with a Memory Box die.

Flutter By Wednesday - Autumn Colors
A new Flutter By Wednesday challenge begins today. Thanks to all of you who joined in last week's hop! The challenge for this week is to use autumn colors. Create your cards using fall colors and a butterfly or fairy and link it up to the FBW blog.
I'm SO not ready for fall! I started with a piece of ivory cardstock. I stamped the butterfly (Inkadinkado) and the sentiment (Stampendous) with Pumpkin Pie ink from Stampin' Up! I punched the border with a Fiskars punch and added the scoring with my Martha Stewart scoring tool. I added Pumpkin Pie cardstock only under the punched-out area. I matted with Crushed Curry and Close to Cocoa. The patterned paper is from a Recollections seasons pad and is matted with Close to Cocoa. Can't wait to see your creations!

Black-Eyed Susan Birthday
I'm not really sure this can be considered a black-eyed Susan, but I guess I can call it what I want! :) I've had some packs of these flowers for a long time and at least now I've used ONE of the many! I mounted it on a foam square after sewing a button on it. I just realized how orange the spots look on the paper in the photo, but in real life they are more yellow. The card base is gray. The sentiment is from TPC Studio.

50th Anniversary
It's one of our new neighbors' 50 Anniversary, so I made them this card. Not too special, but I hope they'll like it.
The matting and numbers are shimmery gold and the butterfly is embossed with gold embossing powder on vellum and cut out. The white layer was cut with a Spellbinders die. The numbers were cut with a Cuttlebug die set. The butterfly is mounted on foam squares under the body only. I used a Fiskars punch on the corners of the gold layer.

More Black, Yellow and Daisies!
I think I may have mentioned once or twice (or a few hundred times!) that I like daisies. I think black, yellow and daisies make such a cheery card. You may have noticed a bit of that lately! I had a three-day streak of spending almost all day in my stamping room and had such fun!!
The flowers on this card are from Studio 18. I still have lots left (in various sizes and colors) but at least I used a few more. I punched the flower centers from black with a Fiskars punch and I mounted each flower on a foam square. I embossed the white strip with a Sizzix embossing folder and matted with black. The yellow background paper is some I've had forever. The sentiment was stamped in black and is from TPC Studio.

CAS(E) This Sketch!
I made this card for the current CAS(E) This Sketch! sketch challenge. You can find it here.
My card base and main layer are a light gray cardstock. The matting is Going Gray from Stampin' Up! I used a Memory Box die and shimmery ivory paper for the swirl. The sentiment is from TPC Studio and is stamped in Going Gray. I added a couple ivory pearls on each side of the sentiment. You can see the shimmer better in this picture on the right.

Flutter By Wednesday Birthday Hop for Danni
Today is the second day of fluttery hops to celebrate Danni’s (owner/creator of FBW) birthday! Yesterday was the friends' hop--you fluttered along didn’t you? If not, be sure to visit the Flutter By Wednesday Blog for all the information!! Today is the Flutter By Team’s turn to inspire you!!
Here’s my project for today. I used a lot of Memory Box die cuts on this one. I cut them while I was at our Group Gathering in June. The flowers, the "celebrate" and the butterfly are all from Memory Box. The yellow is some paper I've had since I began stamping! I added yellow pearls to the flowers.

Masculine Birthday Revisited
Guy cards are SO hard to make! This is what I ended up making for our son. It's very similar to one a made a couple years ago for someone else.
The stamps are from Stampendous. I used Stampin' Up!'s Midnight Muse ink and cardstock and Recollections patterned paper for the piecing.

Scrap Card
This scrap was on my table from last week. I cut it to fit the card front with a narrow white border. I scored three lines above the flowers and stamped the sentiment (from Hero Arts) with Versamark and embossed with Detail White embossing powder. I stamped the flower centers with Crushed Curry and a Papertrey Ink stamp.
