These two cards both use stamps from the long-retired Stampin' Up! sets called "Celebrations" and "Background Basics." I kind of struggled with the Celebrations set. But, I'm done with it now! :)
I stamped the stars on the background and trimmed it down a little smaller than the card front. I stamped the blue stars and added the candles and sentiment and matted with red. I also added some Stickles to the flames.
I like my upcoming cards better than these;)
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

You may have struggled but look at the great cards you created with that set! They are wonderful!
LYNETTE, Very cute cards. I love the way you use scoring, it always looks very nice and finishes a card-off with a classy look.
Keep up your STAMP-QUEST, your doing great

Great cards! Watching you work through your "stacks of stamps" is making me want to get down to business on my stash of never used stamps, dies and other goodies. It has cooled down here for a bit, so I'm actually hoping to spend at least a little time stamping and/or die cutting today. It has just been too hot in my stamp room lately to have any fun there. Hope this cooler spell lasts a long time --- like until fall. :)
I really am impressed how the scored lines adds so much to a card. Thanks for sharing!
Well, I think these are super cute, and I especially love the way you used the stars, candles, and sentiment together on the first card. It's interesting how using these old sets as you come to them is bringing out such a variety of cards. I'm loving it!
Both cards are wonderful, Lynette, and a real celebration of joy!
Thank you for your lovely comment. You will be glad to hear that I am home again, after a good result on the angiogram, but I think I am suffering a reaction to the past few days because I am feeling extremely vulnerable and weepy. I've no doubt this will pass in the next day or two and I'll be back to my old self again.

What fun! I love what you are doing with the retired SU sets. I also love that you used Buckaroo Blue cards tock. That's retired right? :) Both cards are awesome Lynette.
