Debossed and Wood-Grained Birthday

The first two of five new cards done with a Gina K 3D embossing folder. This is from the kit from last month. I love this folder. It also comes with dies, which I did not use. For these two cards, I first lightly dragged a light-color ink pad across the panels, then embossed them. After embossing, I dragged a couple darker ink pads over the debossed side - slightly looking like wood graining. Then I matted them and popped up a Gina K sentiment.

I used light browns for this card, ending with a light turquoise-y color.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

These are beautiful! I have been meaning to give this technique a try (I saw at least one video on how to do it a while back), but I just haven't gotten around to it. I'm glad you reminded me.

You are so good at this technique and now with a 3D folder -- wow! The wood grain effect is a fabulous twist. So gorgeous, Lynette!
