Wax Paper Resist Card Fronts

Here are the card fronts that I made by using the wax paper method. It's a really old technique, but Gina K did a video of it very recently. You crinkle the wax paper, unwrap it and then put it between two pieces of cardstock and iron it with a hot iron. Then any ink you put on it will be resisted by the wax. One way she used hers was with stencils, and I really loved the result. Here are the pieces that I did, and I'm excited to make them into cards! I had never done a gray-scale card before (that I can remember!) and I love the way that turned out, too. (You might have to zoom in to see the patterns.)

I'm off to my retreat tomorrow morning. Hopefully I'll have things to share during my stay.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

SO pretty. I have always loved the waxed paper method but don't do it often because it involves ironing and I don't even like to iron clothes! LOL. I have seen this used a lot lately and may just have to dig the iron out and give it a try. Your cards are beautiful!
