Can you believe it - Wyatt (our youngest grandson) will be one on Friday! His birthday party was yesterday, and this is the card we gave him.
I'm not terribly pleased with it, I'm sad to say, but I was really in "crunch mode." Just not enough time to play these days. Anyway, this is what he got! The giraffe was stamped with Memento black ink on ivory cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I trimmed around it, leaving a thin border. (There was no way I was going to take the time to cut around all those little parts.) I mounted the giraffe on foam squares. I stamped the sentiment with a Stampin' Up! set and embossed that panel with a Darice embossing folder. I matted with dark brown and used an ivory card base.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Boy time sure flies doesn't it? It sure doesn't seem like he is one already!! I like the card and even if you don't, he will remember time spent with you more than a card. Can we see a new picture of him soon?
The name Wyatt certainly caught my eye because our youngest grandson is named Wyatt and he will be 1 in December. Just last night I was looking at punch art ideas for a giraffe card. Guess great minds think alike.
Love what you have put together.
You are a Grandma Lynette? This is very sweet.
Your giraffe is darling! I, too, have to stamp a grandchild card this week as my Brooklynn is celebrating her 5th birthday on Saturday.
The giraffe is adorable...I'm sure he loved it.
I can't believe he's one!! It's a darling card and one I'm sure was loved!
Happy birthday, Wyatt! A little late, but the sentiment is the same. Speaking of sentiments, it's great that you personalized it for him. Makes it a real keepsake. I love giraffes for children and baby cards. The white you left around the edges helps it stand out from the background. Also, love the embossing. It goes well with the giraffe.
